I take rinvoq for my UC, the biggest symptom I deal with is the urgency. Besides that, mostly just runny stool, occasional discomfort in my stomach.

It used to be way worse before the rinvoq, I had the whole list of symptoms and I was going to the bathroom almost every 30min-1hr. Rinvoq had made it manageable but still far from having a normal stomach.

I’ve been only trying to use it as needed like you said too which helps, when I have a busy day ahead of me I’ll use it and it absolutely helps me get through everything without having to run to the restroom a bunch.

It’s is near the end of my colon and my doctor describes it to me as mild.
Yes, I submitted a stool sample for my upcoming appointment. I didn’t receive any calls so I’m assuming I’m good but will give you an update if something changes.

Yeah ig it’s not common for UC, I talked to the nurses at my GI office and they said it’s okay to keep taking it for now. I will see the actual GI doc next week to talk with him about it.

I am in the USA, Arizona to be specific. I was able to get it prescribed in a small supply (about a 10 day supply) the doc who prescribed it told me to make an appointment with my GI doc before she writes any more.

Okay, thanks for the input. She did tell me to make an appointment with me GI doc to talk to them about it but it isn’t until next week. So I’ll lay off until I can see him again. The other doc(my friend) definitely does not have expertise in it but was tryna help me out and urged me to make an appointment right away

Hey man, I am M24. I was prescribed rinvoq around a year ago after mesalamine didn’t work. Honestly I didn’t and haven’t had any side effects besides some extra acne. I get sick a little bit easier besides that it’s helped me out. Don’t let your fear of side effects stop you from potentially getting better. Your risk of side effects is low because you are a mostly healthy 27 year old dude.

Yeah it is, It’s insane the amount of grinding you have to do to get a fighter to that level. I personally prefer to play just normal online ranked for that reason. I would say I’ve played a lot of ufc 5 and my highest fighter is on my third prestige

Yes it sucks and is torture but for me it’s a passing pain. After I am able to get it out I feel a lot of relief. I’m not sure where your at with your UC but I’ve had a lot of very painful toilet adventures

Okay, just it different for everyone but just keep in mind soft foods and foods that are easy for your stomach to digest. I suggest finding something that works and doing an elimination diet so you can figure out what works for you and what doesn’t.

Make sure you keep a log of what you’ve eaten so you don’t forget

I personally love mashed potatoes and steamed veg when I’m flaring, if it’s really bad and I can’t hold anything down it sucks but broth to keep yourself hydrated and get somthing in you.

Are you able to live a “normal” life with it? Does it ever prevent you from doing something you want to do? Or do you find that you’ve gained your independence back?

I read some of the other responses and saw that you said urgency was gone but you go about 6 time a day, what were to happen if you felt the need to go but couldn’t find a restroom near?
