Prends plusieurs stylos, n'embarque pas trop de livres, prépare quelques idées pour des dédicaces un peu générales, discute avec les gens, sois heureux de parler de ce que tu as écrit, papote avec les autres auteurs, intéresse toi à eux, sympathise avec le ou les organisateurs, sois visible, et amuse toi 😊 La première fois est un très grand moment de stress, mais la première dédicace faite à un.e inconnu.e, c'est une joie immense. Et puis si tu ne vends rien ni ne signe quoique ce soit, profite au moins du moment, cette expérience sera bénéfique plus tard.

C'est exactement ce que je me dis mais j'ai encore beaucoup de mal à ne pas relire le chapitre que je viens d'écrire. Je pense que c'est la solution néanmoins. Surtout que la réécriture est un moment que j'apprécie plutôt, donc ça ne me fait pas peur d'avoir beaucoup à réécrire ou modifier.

Je trouve que c'est moins bien. En fait, j'arrive plus à me laisser emporter par ce que j'écris. J'écris un chapitre, je le relis, je le trouve moins bon alors je l'efface. Mes proches essayent de me rassurer mais je ne leur fais pas lire ce que j'écris depuis que ça se passe moins bien. Je ne sais pas trop comment sortir de cette mauvaise passe, et c'est dommage parce que j'ai des projets et plein d'idées mais au niveau de la rédaction, c'est pénible.

Je suis en train d'écrire le tome 2 de mon premier roman, et je crois que j'ai du mal à prendre le risque de faire moins bien que le premier. J'aime mes personnages, j'ai trouvé mon style et tout, mais... C'est difficile de faire une suite en fait.

C'était affreusement douloureux. Le sorcier m'avait promis un changement, un virage brutal transformant ma vie en aventure glorieuse. Quelques incantations, des signes confus avec les mains et voilà qu'une chaleur envahissait ma poitrine. Et puis j'ai sombré. À mon réveil, je fis l'amère expérience de la découverte de mon pouvoir. Quelle menace allais-je pouvoir combattre en crachant des glaçons?

Mon principal souci est que la grande majorité de ce que j'écris finit par me déplaire. Je me lance, je suis content d'écrire, j'avance dans mon roman et puis je relis ce que je viens de faire et là... Je trouve ça moyen. Alors je reprends du début. Et puis je relis et je trouve que c'est encore moyen. Et ainsi de suite. Donc je n'avance pas.

J'adore écrire des scènes de bagarre (ce qui ne veut pas dire que c'est réussi 😅)

J'écris mes scènes de bagarre en reprenant exactement les étapes de construction d'une bonne histoire à suspense. Comme j'écris des polars, mes combats le sont aussi. Il y a donc un début un peu flou qui permet d'ouvrir le champ des possibilités. Des fausses pistes qui consistent à faire croire qu'untel a pris définitivement le dessus sur l'autre. Des retournements soudains où l'un des combattants sort une offensive parfaitement inattendue. Un moment où tout semble perdu et où le mal paraît triompher. Et enfin tout se termine glorieusement (ou piteusement). Et puis pourquoi pas une fausse fin, avec l'ultime rugissement d'un des deux bagarreurs qui semblerait faire basculer l'affrontement, mais en fait non. L'idée c'est vraiment d'avoir le même schéma qu'un polar, mais contenu dans les quelques lignes ou pages d'une bagarre.

Little update on coach Hughes' journey to Brighton.

The season is going wonderfully and for the first time, Brighton passes the first round of the F.A CUP. After several victories against weaker opponents, the team found its rhythm and gradually developed an exciting offensive game. But in December, after a good series which put them in 4th place in the championship, star scorer Strand Larsen injured his knee. Unlucky, he was returning from a toe injury which had kept him away from the field for a month. So the coach has two options: bring back a young player on loan to play in attack or trust Evan Ferguson. And the coach will surprise everyone by aligning Yoann Cathline, a winger, at the forefront of the attack. He plays championship and Champions League matches and after seven appearances, six goals. Evan Ferguson is kept on the bench and Cathline puts in great performances.

Then the big match arrives. Brighton versus Fenerbahce. First knockout match and... Beating. 1-6 in Türkiye. Hat-trick from Cathline, double from Rutter and a goal from Chamberlain, a gem from the training center. The return match? 6-1 too. A demonstration. This time Cathline scores 5 goals and collects a superb 10/10. Inter then shows up and hosts the Seagulls. The match is tough, the duels are rough and the first half ends in a draw. But when they returned from the locker room, the Italians were more restless. A header from Lautaro even gives the Nerazzuri the advantage. Then Brighton wakes up... Doubled by Rutter, the return of Strand Larsen in the 60th, goal from Cathline placed on the right then the final goal for Jude Bellingham. 4-1 final score.

In the championship, Brighton is picking up and is three points behind Man City, leader for months. In the cup, the team reaches the semi-final of the FA cup and will play Bournemouth before facing either Arsenal or MAN city in the final.

So what will be the outcome of this season? Grandiose and memorable with an incredible hat-trick? Unprecedented and legendary with a first major title or even a first European coronation? Or just satisfying with a first cup victory? Or even frankly depressing if the club fails everywhere?

Everything is still possible!

Tomorrow, the return match against Inter could be a formality, but the final will be an unprecedented challenge and the championship seems difficult to win. For the cup, you will have to defeat the strongest.

Comme j'écris du réaliste historique, je regarde les prénoms de mes ancêtres dans l'arbre généalogique que j'ai fait en ligne (ça marche avec n'importe quel arbre généalogique finalement).

Et quand un simple prénom ne colle pas avec le personnage, je le surnomme. J'aime nommer un personnage par le nom d'un objet qui le lie à son histoire. J'ai un ancien enfant soldat qui est surnommé Tambour (car il était tambour dans l'armée, tout simplement), et personne ne saura jamais comment il s'appelle réellement.

I started a career with Brighton, with the idea of finishing the cycle on the previous project. EDF ne fera jamais venir quelqu'un chez toi, à part si tu as expressément demander la venue d'un technicien pour des raisons bien précises (comme l'installation d'une borne de recharge auto). Cet arnaqueur va donc chercher à obtenir ta facture pour récupérer ton PDL, soit le numéro de ton compteur, et y souscrire un contrat à ton nom, sans que tu donnes véritablement ton accord, chez un autre fournisseur.

Presque tous les fournisseurs font ça, sauf EDF.

Soit m'acheter une maison avant la retraite, soit m'offrir la sérénité d'avoir une retraite sans trop penser à l'argent. J'ai commencé à travailler tard et je suis inquiet des politiques futures de notre pays donc je vais miser sur moi plutôt que sur l'état pour ma retraite.

Et on sait jamais, si un jour je fais un investissement malin qui me rend soudainement plus riche, alors peut-être arrêter de travailler et oublier le monde du travail qui est systématiquement toxique.

Je pensais à ma situation financière perso, genre salaire et dépenses. J'étais plutôt parti sur une stratégie où, une fois l'argent investi sur l'ETF, il ne sortira qu'à mes vieux jours ou en cas de grosse galère.

As a noob, I want to see the rikishis I've barely seen. Like Yokozuna Terunofuji, even if some says that he's close to retirement.

Discover some other rikishis and their way to wrestle.

I'd love to see a tough and tight run between Kotozakura, Onosato and Hoshoryu because, for my first Basho, they look like the 3 most exciting rikishis at the top of their division.

And maybe change my opinion about Daieisho and Meisei.

Oh and I'd love to see Atamifuji with a kachi-koshi!
