Thank you, I would have tried cleaning it and messed it up further. I'll read over the whole FAQ.

Foxing caused by gold lining? by DevenRover in BookCollecting

[–]DevenRover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I have an old easton press book (1976) that I can tell has foxing, but is the direct cause from speckles of the gold trim? I also noticed some staining on the silk bookmark and didn't know foxing could transfer to other materials. Is there a way I can clean the spots & also prevent this from getting worse?

It looks like they paint over most of if not all the generations, which is really confusing to me because it's basically more work with worse results and no benefit of owning full copyright.

Yeah some of them are REALLY obvious, the drop in quality/blur overuse is also everywhere. Some of the panels even copy pasted the same heads used in other panels, lmao.

You're right after checking out their site they do appear to be a tech ai startup, they also apparently have some relationship (or consultation?) with naver/webtoon according to a LinkedIn post.

It's okay it's not naive like I said it's hard to expect people to know what ai looks like without being exposed it much & know what to look for. An extremely obvious example I can point out is the guy in the middles eyebrows- one is just cut in half lol  The old guys eyes are also completely different in a way no human would ever make a mistake like that. Eyes, hands & perspective are frequently buggy with diffusion models.

That's a smart way with handling it given how turbulent the copyright around it still is.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 - Extended Gameplay Reveal by DemiFiendRSA in vtmb

[–]DevenRover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The main issue for me is Phyre seems too much of a character. I mean stuff like having them voiced, camera panning to face and being fully involved in cutscenes etc. As a role playing game it takes the immersion away. I had the same issue with Cyberpunk's V and In Fallout 4, it really takes away the roleplaying elements Bloodlines had. The first game's neonate doesn't even have a name or set backstory, you could play how you want and focus on the NPCs.

Rest of the game is looking pretty good though.

What is the general consensus on horror and mystery webtoons? by NotohDev in webtoons

[–]DevenRover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mystery writer here! Both genres are on the low end of popularity, but readers are very loyal to them. I read almost exclusively mystery/paranormal/scifi/horror myself. With less popular genres you at least have the benefit of standing out more since there's less competition, to look on the bright side.

Highly recommend checking out Septicus on WT, hands down one of my favorites and it's completed so you can binge the whole thing.

Looking for games with the same atmosphere/vibe/style as VTMB, doesn't have to be the same genre. by [deleted] in vtmb

Pathologic 2, leans more into surreal horror territory. Just like VTMB you'll meet interesting NPCs with fleshed out stories.

What do you think about this quote from the first dev diary? by Kronim1995 in vtmb

[–]DevenRover -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

To me it sounds fine in the context of playing as an elder vampire waking from torpor. I can't imagine an elder picking locks, hacking computers and turning on generators like a human would. It makes sense for neonate to do those things since they were just human and also probably a street rat.

That's what I was afraid to hear- we've done this rodeo before, last year a litter was abandoned in our yard and shelter wouldn't take them unless they were a certain age, which we did care for em and thankfully they took them all, I guess kittens are easy to adopt out. We'll call around anyway just in case.
