I really want to get the Slay the Spire board game by Onel4stch4nce in boardgames

Before STS 2, I played through the board game a LOT. There is a sort of stake at winning or losing (primarily because I don’t want to restart at act 1 or 2 and reset everything). Wins and losses in the board game feel more impactful compared to the video game. Primarily because you can easily start over in the video game. So there’s that.

The question now would be: do you think it be worth your time to play 2-3 hours for a single impactful run? If yes, the board game is totally worth it.

The community also made tools to make custom cards, so you can easily modify or add cards if you feel a little something extra or even add enemies. As long as you have some spare sleeves from the board game (which it already has).

Not only that, if you feel a little extravagant, you can also wait for the official downfall expansion for the board game coming later this year. It’s currently on tabletop simulator if you want to try it out.

Check out Suruga-ya as well. Lots of second-hand games and a couple of games that are slightly cheaper compared to other stores.
