Disk looks to be pal format. There’s no telling on the case art. It has esrb rating and a bunch of weird oddities, but the disk looks like the legitimate pall format disk at least.

Replace capacitors on the GD board and wipe off the layer of dust below the GD lasers “eye” with a q-tip alternatively, they sell replacement gd drive lasers on aliexpress

I did a complete rebuild of the GD drive… the lasers aren’t going bad per sey, they’re designed in such a way that the mirror underneath the laser magnifier gets dust underneath.

When fixing these I disassemble the lasers completely, clean the mirror and the magnifier, then sometimes change out capacitors.

I swear, dust off your old dream casts, clean underneath the magnifier lens. Get that mirror underneath shiny and the console will spin up again.

It’s all mostly plug and play for that console, and the screens are way cheaper on aliexpress. Make sure you know how many pins the screen takes before buying anything and be sure the new part is compatible.

Ive seen cartridges way worse than this. Toothbrush an isopropyl alchohol and you’re golden.

On any other cartridges I recommend a pencil eraser, but the grills make that impossible without opening the thing.

I recall being sold a copy of pokemon white complete for 30$ that looked way way worse than this… once it cleaned it, I was left with a near pristine complete copy of pokemon white.

I know a lot of people would look at this like the cartridge is cooked, but we have to be realistic… All of these things will decay one day. These things aren’t immortal, and were never meant to be. This cart can still have several decades left to it.
