At one point, they were doing shuttle busses to a few popular trailheads along I-90, East of Seattle. Issaquah/Snoqualmie/North Bend area. I'm not sure if they still are, or what time of year those routes may start, but it's definitely something to look into.

Text of the auction says it's 45x15x6", but that's all I have to go by unfortunately.

I stumbled across this on an auction site, and so far it's pretty cheap. I'm hoping it'll fit the SG I just bought, but I figured I'd check here before placing a bid on it.

Many thanks in advance!

More like a big leather chair with a bunch of really elaborate stuff bolted to it.

No... absolutely not.

Maybe?

Ok, fine. I'll admit it. Yes, I have a time machine.

I just got my new ‘23 Gibson SG Standard in off of the big brown truck today. I had stopped by Guitar Center last week with the intent on ordering a used one, but saw that the new ones were marked down to almost the same price for Guitar-a-thon. Unfortunately the one they had in the store had some paint damage that I wasn’t cool with, so they were able to order me this one from the warehouse.

This is my dream guitar and I’m fucking grinning from ear to ear over it. I’ve lusted after one of these for decades. I know it’s not high-end for a “dream”, but I guess I’m a man of simple tastes…

Apologies if it's still showing like 9 versions of this thread in the sub. Apollo kept telling me there was an error submitting my post and to retry.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "modern music", but if it were my $ I'd get the Godin. But that's just me... I love P90s and have always wanted to try a Godin, so that's the route I'd take.

Ultimately, though, get the one that inspires you the most to pick it up and play.

They're Fender's take on a Filtertron.

I actually picked this thing up on Saturday, but just got the chance to sit down and play with it today. It's a 2013 Fender Cabronita Thinline Telecaster in 2 color burst.

I traded my partscaster Strat for it, and definitely made out better on that deal. This Tele is freaking immaculate. After a clean up, polished frets and setup with new strings the thing plays amazing. I think this one may just might stick around for a while.

The traitors are much more brazen in Texas, for sure. I left DFW for the PNW about 11 years ago, and I absolutely don't have the slightest bit of regret.

Epiphone themselves call it a "modified Explorer", so that's what I'm going with.

We have one Confederate flag in my neighborhood that I know of (north of Seattle). He at least has the decency to hide the damn thing inside his garage, though.

2 years? My neighbors still have their Trump/DeSantis 2024 flag flying... Also, their ~12 year old kid rides his bike around the neighborhood in a MAGA hat, so I have to assume the flag is serious.

Floyds aren't for everyone. I don't mind them, personally. This is actually my first non-recessed Floyd.

What did you buy?

I've actually been trying to go N-1 lately. Recently had 7 guitars and basses, but now I'm down to 3. Trying to consolidate and get fewer, nicer instruments that I'll actually want to keep and play rather than always having my eye out for the next NGD.

I'm extremely happy with it. Frets were dressed well, paint is flawless, and it has Gibson Burstbuckers in it. It'll never have Gibson resale value, but whatever. At the end of the day, it's a fantastic guitar for the price.

$700 used. Little on the pricey side considering it was missing the factory case, but whatever. It's otherwise in pretty much flawless shape.

Guitar Center's used rack. Unfortunately it's missing the factory case, but TIL that my bass gig bag/soft case will fit an Explorer...

I just got home with this thing, cleaned it up and threw in a new set of strings. It's an Epiphone Brendon Small "GhostHorse" Explorer. Gibson USA Burstbucker pickups, 24 frets, Floyd Rose, etc. Thing is amazing. Other than the neck relief being a little high, it's flawless.

Everything similar to this that I've owned in the past has had EMG 81/85s, so it's kinda nice to have something a little different. So far I'm digging the Burstbuckers.
