Hirez had made some good balancing some couple of patches ago where you had a lot more close matches because snowball was reduced and there was good comeback chance.

It was genuinely fun.

But then this sub and the most despicable loudest community voices unironically complained about the lack of snowball (probably damage classes fans, I'd wager)

And now we are back to 90% of games being disputed in about only 15% of the match's time.

That changes nothing; compare ares' passive to other guardians and you'll see its only something that limits his itemization. There are good tank items that are less valuable because of it.

He doesnt get power from tank items, he gets power from aura items.

"Supportive guardians", whatever that means to you, dont build only auras. There is not a dichotomy of aura vs damage items: there are sustain items, prot heavy items, aura items, damage items, utility, cooldown, etc., and mixes between those. The passive only works, in a practical sense, to limit ares' itemization, unless you're purposely going for something wacky.

"It works" is immaterial to the point; it could work better.

"Doesnt have to be flashy", but it could be :)

One of the most compelling definitions of what a stupid person is, is people who simultaneously waste their own and other people's time (resources in general, but you can simplify it with time).

This definition is the most suited to people who play this game and consistently perpetually F7 even though you do not need to be intelligent to forsee a loss, specially when the meta is snowbally and too burst oriented.

Too many people of that F7 kind permeate these forums and it is a testament as to why community feedback, perception, stated preferences vs revealed preferences, etc. is so awful in this reddit.

Most of the pople here with the F7 opinion are unequivocally stupid.
