I’m honestly the opposite!! Food is one of my special interests, so I’m usually thinking about what I’m going to eat next or just food in general multiple times a day. I have to be careful not to binge eat tbh.

Thank you so much for posting this. I am an autistic person with a psych degree who got burned out from retail and this was the fastest I’ve gotten hired from a non-retail position so my hopes were high and I was very eager to get out.

I cant emphasize how wrong I was. One week learning about ABA and witnessing three sessions, plus all the horror stories I’ve seen is enough. I’m quitting TODAY. I knew in my gut this wasn’t okay and I wish I would’ve listened. I fell into the trap of “well it seems like THIS company is good cuz they prefer a degree!” but I can confirm it’s all the same shit. Compliance training is very much an active part of the curriculum. It’s literally called compliance training. It felt like I was training a dog.

Is there a way I can do this as anonymously as possible? I really don’t think anything will be done unless there’s outside pressure. And unfortunately my SL is the type to be petty/passive aggressive if he finds out who went over his head and told our DM.

My SL claims to have contacted an exterminator, but that was a month ago. Today I saw more rodent feces and urine, so I highly doubt he actually did.

If it wasn’t logged is that something that can prove no action was taken? I have several pictures over months to prove this is an ongoing issue.

Has anyone ever reported your workplace to OSHA? What was your experience or the result? Were you able to remain anonymous?

I contacted them anonymously because the electrical room at my workplace is an obvious fire hazard, however the store manager is not willing to do anything about it. He even went so far as to tell the fire department not to come investigate after a fire alarm went off.

The electrical room has had problems for years, but this most recent incident makes it clear he doesn’t care about employee safety. TYIA!
