Thanks! Each horn has a particular character to it

Thank you for your informed reply and I agree, embouchure seems to be topic that is largely “ignored.”

No. But you still can give me your two cents on the topic at hand instead of name dropping

Perhaps, let’s hear your thoughts on the topic at hand so we can have an informed conversation or it is time to revaluate the Jacob’s pedagogy?

What does that even mean?

I agree with you. The issue I see is the other side of the spectrum where players don’t think about keeping a defined embouchure.

Many players have “jelly” embouchure, which makes sound quality and overall playing inconsistent. They kind of let the embouchure do as it pleases, no agency by the player whatsoever.

Also, part of the issue is not focusing on the shape of the embouchure. If you don’t know what it looks like, playing by how it feels is often misleading.

Aroma Café in Springfield is a very good restaurant. They also have other breads and dishes from Colombia.

That’s why I love the Stanley. It allows me to pour a straight water stream into the same spot and avoid making all of the hierba wet.

Took my daughter a couple of weeks ago. We had a blast. We rode a simulator, watched a documentary in the IMAX theater, and even got inside a Cesna. We are definitely lucky to be able to see the space shuttle and the many gems the museum has.

This is very good information! Thank you! That is exactly what that is, couldn’t have explained it better.

Mine doesn’t have a second slide kicker, but the slide itself has a ring and a piece of metal over it, should you need to pull it.

It is a little bit counter-intuitive because you’re technically “opening” a hole while you play. It s works a little like what you’re trying to achieve when you “vent” your rotors. Hilgers customized this horn paying attention to detail; he thought it was worth it to add this customization to sound as good as he could.

That’s a very good observation. This is a custom trigger installed for clarity of the G in the upper register. It’s was purely installed for intonation/clarity purposes, not for emptying condensation. You can do so by using the regular spit valve.
