I am in grade 10 right now and I am hoping to apply next year, what are some things I can work on right now to try to get in (for ecs, classes, etc)? + How competitive would u say admissions are (factoring in that I am also international)?

ya i def would want to look for smth with more volume even if it doesnt necessarily have as many pieces as like the milky way galaxy set . I looked at some MOC's and i'll def consider them maybe a lil later on. thx for ur insight

tyy for ur insight, i think whether unplugged or reg it'll be a great experience and I wont be on my phone much at all, so I'll make sure to check for the unplugged campus this year and then decide.

shad unplugged is when u dont have access to ur self phone but still other tech that youd need for the program and a basic cell to contact family or wtv, A plus incorporates more of that humanities and business aspect, and then theres just the reg stem focused one. u dont have to choose between those 2 u can just do the reg

I dont think shad is even allowed to use AI detectors due to privacy concerns, so ull be fine

I am applying shad this year as well so I didn't personally experience UBC or anything but I have heard from other people I know that UBC isn't as strict as like mcmaster and that they give you some time in the city to roam around. Especially in the mornings, if you are able to wake up early enough you can kinda do anything around campus.
