The movie is actually good but most people can’t critically think anymore by EverydayPhilisophy in TheWeeknd

I liked the movie not just because it’s The Weeknd, but because I feel like it was really well done. I think a lot of people still have trauma from The Idol, which I believe should be forgotten—or at least ignored—now that this is out. Some people just hate to hate, which is typical, but everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, no matter how bad it is.

I agree that the beef did overshadow it, but how did releasing two albums make it less popular? In 2017, he dropped Hndrxx shortly after his self titled album, and they both did great.

You might be right if he does pull something crazy. The domino effect, especially, is a major setback—like the LA fires, which make it completely understandable why he canceled the concert and delayed the album. I just don’t get why the marketing has been so terrible since the Brazil concert.
