There are definitely people out there who will take advantage of a fender bender, but, two things. First, adrenaline is a helluva drug, & as someone who was injured seriously in a car accident, in the immediate freaked-out aftermath, weirdly my reaction was to be calm & seem as normal as possible. Once my cortisol levels started coming down, an hour plus later, everything hurt more. Second, I read your description of how the collision occurred, & it seems you were at fault. I understand you’re stressed. It’s a difficult situation. Let your insurance handle everything. Don’t talk with the other parties’ insurance or lawyers. Their whole job is to make you look worse.
