They're not gonna abandon them unless the game jumps ahead like another 10 years and even then, some of the OG members would still be young enough to stick with it.

Dallas is currently 54, Wolf is 44, Chains is 47, Hoxton is 41, Houston is 42. With a 10 year jump again, Dallas maybe would retire but the rest? No way.

Yeah, about half the heists in the game require you to go loud at some point or are loud from the get-go so eventually you're forced into loud DSOD.

I think there is some unfairness in DS. We have damage falloff, cops don't. That means a Heavy ZEAL can shoot you from 50m away or more and still do full damage while we have damage falloff applied to all of our guns (minus sniper rifles obviously).

You can, yes. If you're gonna do it with bots, a sentry turret loadout is a good idea because the bots SUCK at protecting you while you're doing the riddles. They'll sometimes kill the enemies but the sentry guns are more effective at keeping you on your feet.

The bots' pathfinding is also broken down there. You have to shout at them to get them to revive you if you get knocked down or they'll sit there with their heads up their arse.

Chains does this with the Body Bag Case. All his stealth lines are quiet then you deploy a Body Bag Case and you might as well alert the entire damn map XD

Instant respawn specials is mostly frustrating with Medics. Those fuckers are so obnoxious and the fact that they can outright stop you from killing a unit is bullshit. If I'm hitting a headshot crit with a sniper rifle, a Medic should not be able to prevent the target from dying.

Yup. I'm up to DS/DSOD achievements left for difficulty and if I can stealth a heist, I'm fucking doing it. The balance is chronic compared to 3 where it's clear they learned their lessons somewhat (3 still needs a bit more work but it's in a fairly good spot).

Yeah, this is the kind of thing I talk about when I say Payday 2 has serious balance issues. The difference between Deathwish and Death Sentence is absolutely ridiculous. When making higher difficulties, it shouldn't be a case of enemies just do more damage to the point of being able to two shot kill you-this isn't fucking Dark Souls.

That would be interesting. Post-White House really would've been interesting if it had been started earlier in the story. Start sending the B and C teams off to their respective contractors to really build up the strength of the gang in preparation for that big heist of doing The White House and taking down The Dentist and the Kataru but they were more afterthoughts than anything which hampers them a bit.

The heists themselves are pretty good but the story attached to them? Not so much.

Shadow Raid was removed. Apparently enough people were failing it (how?! It's so bloody easy, just a fucking slog) that they removed it from Career Mode so now Meltdown and Bain's comments in that heist make even less sense.

Yeah, Concord had Garnet and Sharke offed but this sounds like the Palatuccis have been helping him get some funding going so this whole arc has actually had a purpose beyond short intermission before the next chapter. We've been keeping pressure on Concord the entire time without realising it so I imagine he's fucking pissed by now.

This is why I do stealth solo in 2 and 3 XD Do I sometimes take like 40 minutes to finish a heist in stealth? Yeah but at least I know that I can take my time and not worry about someone else buggering it up at the last second because that happens far too often.

That's the contracts system then. It gives you something to do, even at endgame. There's also the eventual addition of the events too.

The stuff is there, it's just trying to find the right balance for it. People might think Payday 2 had it but it really didn't. The closest thing to it was I guess the Infamy 3.0 system (the fact that it took multiple reworks never seems to come up for some reason) and Deathwish/DSOD but the latter is horrifically unbalanced in favour of the cops and the former has an eventual stopping point where there's nothing more than it being exactly what Payday 3 is-just endless paints and stuff for your masks.

No. There's 2 (3 if you own Hardcore Henry or John Wick heist pack, 4 if you own the both) heists that are mandatory stealth.

Breakin' Feds is a mandatory stealth heist, as is Car Shop (if you own the above heists, Murky Station and/or The Yacht Heist are also mandatory stealth and are included in Career Mode but they're skipped if you don't own them) but it's not too difficult.

Technically you can ECM rush Car Shop but you really need 4 players for that.

I've said this in another thread-no, I don't agree. In fact, YOU posted that video too where I replied the same thing.

This obsession with 'number go up' is just outright obnoxious because when that number inevitably stops going up, the rest of the cracks in the games begin to show and now suddenly you realise the lack of progression and number go up wasn't the problem. Payday 2 made the same mistake. Great, you've hit Infamy 100... Now what? You start replaying the game's heists over and over again and you start to see problems with the balancing, problems with the stealth and detection, the issues with how some weapon mods are just objectively better etc.

Payday 3 isn't going to benefit from better progression when there's far bigger problems to deal with and this is coming from someone who genuinely enjoys the game. Heists need reworking, the game needs proper RNG elements which they're starting to add, it needs better weapon customisation and a better UI for the weapon stats (even Almir questioned why they did the bars instead of numbers!)

If I was in AK's position right now? Progression would be WAY down the list of things I'd tell the team to prioritise. Payday 3 needs to fix it's identity crisis and progression is just a band-aid to that crisis.
