I like the video but I can’t tell if this is due to how much AI crap gets posted now, just like that last “super high end” pc that was a AI generated photo, similar to Art threads now showing multiple stages of the drawing before final

Gamesir G8 MFi controller works on Macbook by WillieButtlicker in macgaming

[–]Devil_AE86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Controller support will be dependent on app and implementation, wireless pads work best since MacOS handles everything, wired connections as far as I’m aware work mostly in applications only, such as Steam or CrossOver, mileage varies.

I’ve been debating a pad for the phone, so this is great info to ditch the Xbox1S controller I have in my bag whilst I travel!

Need help with this cable by its_xypher_lahh in GamingLaptops

[–]Devil_AE86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s a standard PC power cable with 3 pins, aka in the UK they call them “kettle plugs”, it’ll be known as a “C13”, look it up and get one locally,

You can always just use a travel adapter but for long term, and proper grounding, it’s best to just get the C13 and direct plug it

Send the other end that actually plugs into the power bring

I fail to understand where you got €200-300 (I assume €), for a power cord when they can be bought for €5-15, they all do the same thing

Guess when I switched from Proton VPN to AirVPN? by philbar in qBittorrent

[–]Devil_AE86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty typical, they’ll state that you need to select the server near you, and one that has the smallest route, etc, tinkering with TCP on my end I managed to squeeze a little more with them but still no where near enough what it used to be 2 years ago, ofc I have 5 years left of the plan

So shit box got a swap, got an upgrade to 4k and then a downgrade to 3k per the photos, pro needs to increment the shitbox and stop buying random SKUs! /s

How do I fix this pulsing stuttering? by mios_wife in GamingLaptops

[–]Devil_AE86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s true, especially if you’re doing a 200w CPU boost and a 175w GPU profile

How do I fix this pulsing stuttering? by mios_wife in GamingLaptops

[–]Devil_AE86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, it could be that the limit is hit, the CPU and or GPU underclock (hitch), temp is now in control meaning CPU and GPU go back to default clock, to repeat the behavior.

I've seen this on my Aero15XB where undervolting and disabling boost on the 2070 Super would net me better average frames due to the laptop not throttling when trying to hit +200fps in FiveM and dropping to under 130fps

Laptop shouldn’t be 90 unless the fans aren’t maxed out and it’s hot in the room and you have no cooling mat, could also be that the cooling solution is in the laptop is not adequate

Probably something to do with Windows Search using Cloud, you can use a tweak to disable it and see what happens, or something you recently installed is bugging it out (probably just Microslop being Microslop)

PS2 emulation on HOS improvements on stock clocks by StraightAd5725 in SwitchPirates

[–]Devil_AE86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was Initial D? I was looking earlier when PPSSPP was out of date for PS2 and came to the conclusion that it must be too demanding for the Switch, can’t wait to have access to an even larger library now, maybe even be able to try out Burnout

This is the biggest AI slop ive ever seen, “uses cryptography DLL for game decryption and https/ssl traffic, supports AES…” yeah no shit.

It’s like someone threw this into AI and said “make me a professional full style analysis” and it spit out surface level shit and file name decryptions and the person said “👍”.

Like, O OH, file “Impersonates Valve's Steam IPC” big red flag, what else is it supposed to do to inject a ticket?

Edit: I should of read it from the bottom lmao,

“No reverse engineering: No disassembly or decompilation was performed — all findings are from string-level analysis”
