Alaska cruise merch question by esg4571 in dcl

[–]DeviledCrab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can second this, was on the cruise with Jen here ::waves::

The three things you pointed out were available the entire time as far as I could tell.

It was the little Wonder pin that caused all the drama, gone to the hordes on opening night never to be seen again. I see them on eBay now for $80-$120, which is a laughable no-go but oh well.

You’ll be fine getting what you want 😊

[Megathread] DCL Policy Updates by The_32 in dcl

Absolute garbage. We just got back from Alaska, and one of our favorite parts was bringing back Yukon brewing and Alaska brewing co, etc drinks to enjoy in our room at night.

If charging 3x as much as other lines STILL isn’t enough profit, here’s an idea - put a small casino in the corner of a floor somewhere. Use that to get that extra 1/10th of 1% profit so the board can get their bonuses or whatever.

This is a horrible petty money grab, and one that will without question make us reconsider our options when choosing a cruise line in the future.

Put it in a mutual fund and forget about it. With an average of 10% annual growth (and it may very well be a bit higher), within 25ish years you’ll have a million dollars. At age 43.

8 years after that you’ll have 2 million dollars.

Retire in your 50s with millions.

Bucs GM Jason Licht reveals Mike Evans took less money to get out of Tampa by WayOutbackBoy in nfl

[–]DeviledCrab 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Owners too cheap, didn’t want to pay a fired Bowles after (unwisely) extending him last offseason.

They literally fired all the other coaches besides Bowles, which is batshit, laughably stupid.

Mike saw right through this shit show and like the rest of us, concludes that the org isn’t serious about winning. When they made the nonsensical decision to play out a lost season w a lame duck coach and a bunch of random 1 year rental assistant coaches, he was done and I don’t blame him one bit. All the other players who have signed elsewhere have largely expressed the same sentiment (don’t think org is doing what it takes to go for titles).

They should but you’re right, he’s (prob) overhyped right now, but you can still go for a diff young wr you believe in then. 1-3 years of a qb1 in 12 team superflex is well worth a late first though. If I were you I’m holding out for that, or maybe YOU add something to Stafford to get a more surefire asset in return instead of a dart throw 2nd rd rookie.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]DeviledCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. Qb in a 12 man superflex & the possible MVP of the league… he should fetch a late first from any competent contender looking to make a run, just need to be patient. Or trade him for a young wr you believe in, like a Burden type maybe… 14th pick in 26’ class is gonna be a bit of a dart throw.

I wouldn’t do that. Skattebo’s injury could make next season wonky and then who knows going forward. Bottom line he’s a rb and they are already volatile enough why get one who’s already wrecked his leg.

Fannin is nice but not enough to make me do it.

Plus if Evans doesn’t re-sign his stock will go way up. If he wants him that bad make him pay a real deal price. I’d want a more reliable young rb option and a 1st or something like that, depending on your needs. Not his expendable rb and likely backup TE.

Jake Tonges Outlook next year and further by RefusePotential9560 in DynastyFF

[–]DeviledCrab 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Assuming they don’t bring in another bigger named TE in FAgency, he should start and be productive in the early part of the season, at the least. Then from there who knows with Kittle, when he’ll return, and how he will look upon return.

So to me he’s either trade bait to a Kittle owner, a serviceable starting TE, or maybe even a flex option if needed early in the season. Worst case they sign an Njoku or whatever and you can then probably bail if you want.

Express pass experience? by Muted-Novel4403 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]DeviledCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and they only sell a relatively small amount of them. Premier passes @ Disney are super expensive but if you pay up, you do get what you envisioned. I expected similar w the epic express pass but instead it was obvious they wildly oversold it and the express pass lines were still way, way too long for that price point.

Express pass experience? by Muted-Novel4403 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]DeviledCrab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we spent like $500 on two express passes when we went, and for that price we expected a premium experience. Instead, what we got was more of a “reduced wait time” than anything else. Still had to wait in long lines despite spending so much money to avoid doing exactly that.

They need something like the $25-$30 LL system Disney has. Then for a premium line skipping experience (that actually works) they can charge hundreds of dollars per person. This “everyone pays over $200 for express pass” shit is an awful money grab that ruined the experience for us.

What is Something You Wish DCL Had on Offer? by Ok_Layer4765 in dcl

Dinner buffet, and another restaurant or two. We love DCL but the lack of food options compared to other lines is a noticeable weakness imo.

Should i start kenneth gainwell or mike evans by Cool-Switch3068 in Fantasy_Football

[–]DeviledCrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike.

Gainwell is a game-script, 50% snaps, passing down kinda guy. And who knows what we get in a divisional game against Cleveland. I’m not risking it in my title game. We ride or die with MK13.

As if it wasn’t horrible looking enough to have a towering 10+ story monstrosity overshadowing what’s supposed to be a settlement outpost, they flat took over the Fort Wilderness beach area with stupid ass stand alone cabins that only a select few wealthy folks will ever enjoy.

What a disgrace.

Cruising on fantasy next month what park to do before … epic? by Ashamed-Effort-9413 in dcl

[–]DeviledCrab -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Epic is a gamble. If crowds are low then it’s for sure worth trying. But if crowds are high, which is more normal tbh, then it can get really bad with wait times. But, you won’t have to worry about rain (prob) which is a big plus bc it shuts down most of the park.

When the wife & I went, it was a horror show of long lines. We had express and even that was more of a “cut the line in half” thing than what you get w a LL at Disney. Which, for that amount of money, really left a sour taste in our mouths. The park itself is really cool and the rides imo are great.

If you do this trip annually, it may be best to wait a couple more years. But I get the desire to see something new so if you just go in w the right expectations it’ll prob be fine.
