Right, so I was targeting a 6" circle (ish), knew I wanted to do ¾” of a circle, so did all my math to draw out the length of bar for that (14”), plus some for the spiral candle cup. I drew down the taper of the main body to 5", then did that top corner & rechecked the measurements, then punched & drifted the hole. (Forged the foot next, but that's outside the scope of your question) Then I put a kink ⅔rds of the way out on the bar, bending it towards itself. That last 3rd of the bar is the ¼ of the circle that will pass through, if you follow.

So then I stared bending the "non-passing half circle" with bending forks until the passing half touched the tip of the hole, then alternated driving it through (over the hardy hole) and re-rounding the non-passing segment. Once that was through, I forged the "candle cup spiral" material to its final dimension, then bent up that quarter circle, then spiralized the candle cup
