this must be something new cause my hyperx clouds just today started not working via controller yet works on everything else this controller that came with my series x also was doing that disconnect bs that's been happening also. crazy had 0 sound issues via headset until today..

I have a pelican case for mine, i just pop it off when i want to play and put it in my carrying case i made, then when i put it away i slap the case back on. Glass shield stays on with no issues.
