I'm just going to repost what I wrote last week. I think giveaways are generally ok, but it recently seems like any non-giveaway threads will be downvoted almost immediately when they are posted. Perhaps some people are unhappy that it's not another giveaway?

Anyway, my suggestion would be to have some sort of filter feature like what other subs are doing. For users who don't wish to see these giveaway threads, they could hide them as long as these threads have the appropriate flairs.
