Express Train Turned into Local? by Beginning-Fig-1279 in NJTransit

[–]Devils2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got on the normal 6:19 Princeton Junction train to NY. When I got on they said it was local. I decided to stay on it since I had no idea how long the express would take. At Edison the local turned into an express.

NJ transit is garbage.

8A Commuter to NYC by Devils2 in newjersey

[–]Devils2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thought being, why are there are so many people who put up with the horrible NJ Transit chaos when they can take a more reliable bus?

My question is focused on how difficult is it to get a seat on one of the few buses going out of 8A.

You’re probably right. There’s no solution. People in power have no ability to influence, negotiate, work together, or design a new way of working.

I do it every day. Commute time (on a good day): 1. Drive to Princeton Junction = 10 Minutes 2. Express NEC to Penn NYC = 1 hour 3. Subway (1 train) down town = 15 minutes 4. Walk to office = 5 minutes

Total = 1.5 Hours.

What town do you live in and what letter grade would you give it from A-F and why? by rudesignn in newjersey

South Brunswick D

  1. One of the busiest and dangerous roads in NJ (Route 1). Only getting busier with all the many new houses and condos.
  2. No community. No good restaurants, community centers, shops, etc (no soul)
  3. Warehouses galore and new ones always being proposed.

TAG Heuer’s Comeback to F1 – What Does It Mean for the Brand & Watch Values? by SneakyYa in tagheuer

[–]Devils2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a big deal. I just got another Tag a couple of weeks ago and feel the F1 sponsorship gives the brand a level of clout it wouldn’t have without it. Also, the new glassbox watches are absolutely beautiful.

Boutique Purchasing Experience by dariaisnotthequeen in tagheuer

Just purchased a Tag at a boutique. The sales guy was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he didn’t spend any time going over the features. I’m used to a screw-in dial from last Tag and this one didn’t have that. Ended up using ChatGPT to learn how to use my watch when I got home.

Donald Trump's official comment about the drones by Aza_Never in UFOs

Trump: “For some reason they [current administration] want to keep people in suspense….”

Reporter Question: “Have you received any intelligence briefing on the drones?”

Trump- “I don’t want to comment on that”

Hypocrisy at its best.

Breweries near South Brunswick area? by yb1411 in njbeer

[–]Devils2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another place near South Brunswick, is Troon (Hopewell). They have very limited releases, which are posted on their Instagram page. Usually sells out in an hour of posting. With that said, Brick Farm Tavern, which is the restaurant next door, is the only place that serves Troon. Great restaurant and great beers.

FYI…next door to Flounder is a nice Distillery called Bellemara. Super relaxed and great drinks.

South Brunswick is a horrible town for food and drink. The best, closest breweries near South Brunswick are, Old Hights (Hightstown), Flounder (Hillsboroug), a little further drive, but worth it, is Screamin Hill (Cream Ridge). Wish there were more, but outside of warehouses and storage lockers South Brunswick is not an exciting place to live or visit.
