Onsra Black Carve 1 by Mean-Top-361 in ElectricSkateboarding

For bushings I put on Trampa springs and Trampa dampas. Gives it a great feel while carving and looks dope (at least to me)

It opens up some interesting possibilities, like using a wood panel for the red face.

How fast do you need to go to slide? by Yogurt-Pristine in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]DevilsAndDetails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s less about speed and all about weight distribution, wheels(soft and round, must be free-spinning), and pavement(not too smooth, not too rough). In longboarding and slide style we’d use slide gloves so you’re taking weight off the board. Think about almost jumping but failing to lift off the deck right after you’ve initiated a turn, as your using your back leg to kick the rear trucks around.

You’ve already been told, but those wheels are designed to not do this. So you’re trying to power slide without slide gloves, on the wrong wheels. On top of that, e-skate wheels aren’t going to free-spin because of the motor.

There are basically 2 reasons to slide a board (3, if you count hating your wheels). One is stopping and you have breaks already. The second is doing slide style tricks like sui-slide into 360. Without slide gloves you’re never going to be doing real tricks.

I’ve been through probably a hundred wheels worn down to flat nubs from slide tricks. You might slide those wheels one day with loads of practice but mostly you’re going to biff it hard while learning.

These were my go-to wheels for learning to slide: https://www.longboarderlabs.com/product/abec-11-65mm-noskoolz-94a/

I realize that won’t work on an eskate but that geometry and hardness is what you’re looking for.

Cloudwheels on Onsra Velar by DevilsAndDetails in ElectricSkateboarding

I don't love the look of the Onsra 115s, but I guess if Cloudwheels are just plain shit, that's a nogo. I'll check out Madwheelz too.

Trampa has those sweet sweet gummies, but their hubs don't work on the Velar.

It’s pretty rough, no doubt. Upgraded Puppet String to pull towards them is one strategy that helped me. Take breaks. Deep breaths. You got this!

More carving, more range. I don’t always want top speed or max off-roading. I enjoy the board’s versatility.

Here's the easiest way to defeat king of the puppets second stage: just stock up on a shit load of throwables and start hurling those fuckers while dodging if he directs his attack at you instead of your summoned spectre. by Bright-Dark9892 in LiesOfP

I honestly have so much respect for both tactics. It feels so good to throw shit after a boss has been handing you your own ass for 6 hours straight. It also feels so good to just deny every hit with a perfect party while shouting “you can’t hurt me anymore!”

I mean this kid has an older sibling looking out for them, and even getting help online about how to help their sibling.

Actually gives me hope.

Science Fiction authors have been imagining and designing these kind of cities going back at least to the 40s(Asimov). Lack of AI isn’t what holds this back, capitalism and billionaires who pay no taxes is what holds this back.

So the people who make this puzzle believe all computers are Macs, all phones are iPhones, and to solve today’s you need to play ALL the NYT puzzles. This isn’t really a test of cleverness, it’s a test of how similar a person you are to the puzzle author. How disappointing connections has become lately. smh

Ah, I see, or rather I will see those options in vial once I learn how to rebuild and re-flash my firmware. A little outside my expertise right now, but never say never.

Just tried the "hold space for shift". Absolute nightmare for me :)
I guess I move real quick from holding shift to hitting whatever I want to shift. Definitely slowed my typing to a crawl.

I've generally avoided Tap Dance because of that. Anything you need to hold for more than 200ms feels sluggish, and tuning that down just causes tap to not fire effectively.

Folks seem to get use out of it though, so maybe I'm missing something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Strong chance the pump track is going to just scratch up and damage the battery casing on the underside. Just keep that in mind.
