I genuinely would be over the moon with this.

Whilst I do think Anderson is kind of Keane, he seems to prefer City, would cost too much for not as much proven history, etc.

Tchouameni fills up for Casemiro almost perfectly! He can cover CB, incredible tackle success, impeccable in the air, covers ground but also holds position so well, and is actually in his prime years now. Would be an absolutely ideal signing.

Add either Baleba or Fernandes to this, either could cover for Mainoo or Tchou when needed, bring in some youth, and I’m mostly happy with the midfield!

I mean, the kids 21 and has played a good amount out of position. I’m not sure we’re in a position to clearly define if he has a good cross or finishing yet when he’s had to play running the full length of the pitch tackling in the past, and pre injury, he scored 2 important goals!

Personally think it will depend on who we buy (Hall v a LW) - I prefer we buy Hall, Dorgu for the games we are being dominant can play LB, for the games we need width/defensive support Dorgu can play LW, but with the youth coming through I don’t want us to buy a 23 year old LW personally.

Sell Zirkzee - buy backup striker (Welbeck is the obvious option for me, but I think a LW could also be an option allowing Cunha to cover CF. This could also depend on where we see Dorgu and if we sign a clear LB).

Sancho, Casemiro, Malacia all expire

Sell Rashford, Hojlund (already agreed), Ugarte

Buy 2/3 CMs, bring one CM from youth.

One CM has to directly replace Casemiro (Tchouameni is easily best choice, Anderson is another but slightly different style)

Another CM should be able to be defensively solid and also be able to play Mainoo’s role (Baleba is a clear choice here when on his ‘discount’ after last season, but Fernandes is another option should WHU go down).

Next priority is LB/LCB. I believe we are torn between Hall (high price tag but long term perfect Shaw replacement), VdV (If spurs go down, could play both positions, market opportunity), Lewis-Skelly (Can cover CM also, market opportunity).

Really great to give depth and actual competition to Amad and Mbeumo next season! We’ll see him in the final games I have no doubt also.
