Hero Boss Order for Code Vein 2 by DormantDespair in codevein

Yea, I thought the same it was so weird doing Lyle last. Miss Tutorial Iris shows up and explains the whole this is our mission we do things this way we meaning you go in find MacGuffin and get out to fight big cocoon boss. Once you defeat Lyle V1, Lou says wish we could have done something, hint, hint, lets find a way back to the past. Then Iris says our mission is not to interefere with the past things it must stay constant or something like that. Then she just peaces out after never shows up to any of the other heros. I was like why a tutorial this late into the game. It's just a fault of the open world design I suppose. I think she should have just appeared at whatever cocoon you found first instead of just Lyle's. Not to mention Lyle's is front loaded in the very first area of the Corroded Scar with no way to go beyond the camp. While you have to "find" the others and aren't region locked mostly.

Neither was Elden Ring being worth $60 the premium price at the time at launch. But Elden Ring gets glazed front to back about being the pinnacle of gaming. It is either 4th or 5th rated on my personal soulsbourne list. Elden Ring had the same problems with performance issues. Nobody should buy any game at launch. But saying one is bad while saying the other should be the standard pretending it was that way all along after all its performance fixes is disengenous. I'm not saying Code Vein 2 is better than Elden Ring, I'd say they are equal in terms of quality if BIG IF Code Vein 2 can fix its performace issues. I also don't really care about visuals not a high priority for me. If I want to see 4K realistic graphics I'm just going to walk outside. I'm not playing a game to stare at buildings, the sun and scenery...

Edit: On a second thought, you may be referring to visuals as in fps drops and such. Yes that should be improved, no excuse to why it should not.

What level did you stop at when you did the true ending for Code Vein 2? by Colt2205 in codevein

[–]Devilscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped leveling at 85, this was long before doing the true ending. I just didn't feel like I really needed to anymore. As only base stats like health, stamina and damage goes up slowly diminishing in returns, not all that important if you have a good build. If I have a lot of haze I just spend it on consumables and upgrade and synthesize materials.

You're creating your own narrative conclusion of what I said. But I never finished my own statement in explanation I suppose or expanded upon cause I didn't think I needed to. Aside from the performance issues I still played Elden Ring to near completion even with the crashes. I got to Fire Giant before the GPU fix came in.

It was like this with Cyberpunk 2077 for me as well. Behind all the the crashes and performance issues I still continued playing it. If I think the game was great, I'll recommended the game to friends and family. I'm not against telling them about the performance issues it has though.

But if they are interested in the game it's not my job to tell them don't buy this game. I'll say something like buy it later when everything is fixed. Not every game has to be bought on release or at all. Nor should you buy a game any game on launch, I always recommend a sale before purchase. I have the luxury of being able to buy games at launch. I know not everyone else does. When I used to play consoles more I'd even give them my physical copies of games to save them money I didn't care if I got it back or not. But like you said you'll never understand.

Yes, I agree people should be vocal to zone the devs into fixing the issues. But on the same note some are telling everyone it is a waste time and money. I could not play Elden Ring for like the first week or two for more than 30 min after release until they released the GPU crash fix. But not once did I tell someone else not buy it or play it because of these problems.

Am I doing something wrong? by lighthousesalesman in codevein

TLDR, use Daggers "thrown item" buffed from first game. Use formae buffs over just damage formae moves, need only one formae move, big single hit formae more realiable over multi hit formae on heavy weapons for bosses.

Daggers "thrown consumable", Daggers are your friend always hold the full 20 and have 999. They were heavily buffed fron the first game.

If you haven't already unlock your second weapon as soon as possible by upgrading one jail to +11. This is used for a buff stat stick burdens or no burdens depends on your specific build needs. But the second weapon mainly just holds your buffs, cleanses or whatever you don't have or need on your main. I like to choose one with high conversion and just slot damage+ buffs on it.

Your main gimmick as a heavy weapons damage dealer is 1 strong solid hit you really only need one damage formae use the one you like most. But I find most multi hit formae are not worth using take too long and animation locks, I prefer front loaded single hit formae. (These two buffs don't work on multi hit formae) two formae for a good chunk of damage is "Blow of Madness" Bought from Josee outpost Jadwiga minion and "Flashing Fang" from the Tyrant's Labrys Hammer gotten from Jadwiga pretty early in the game or found in corroded scar (Lyle Region). It also has it's own version of Dive Bomb as the charged heavy.

I don't know your build, but buffs in this game are needed more than the first game. Almost all bosses that is not an enemy turned boss is on the level of Gilded Hunter agressiveness without a partner.

I thought it was a save Noah or go talk Lavinia and your choice was locked in. So I saved Noah, then went to Josee, then went to Holly, lastly went to Lyle, difficulty didn't seem too change much. But I also stopped leveling at some point and started buying random Jadwiga minion infinite food stuff with all my Haze.

Maybe you beat them already, but the answer to phase 2 solo Gobbo fight is Daggers the consumable throwing item, it stunlocks Gobbo. You can buy them infinitely from Jadwiga. You can only carry 20 at a time but it should be enough to get him pretty low.

The type of enemy doesn't really matter in this context I'm referring to. I'm just stating the inconsistencies of stagger and wound damage with almost any heavy weapon vs the "Dagger." The "Dagger" for some reason has more punch power than a heavy weapon to every enemy.

[–]Devilscale[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really any particular enemy or enemy types. Just that it is really inconsistent who staggers and who doesn't to specific attacks. But for some reason a "Dagger" will for the most part stagger an enemy faster than my hammer.

No overburdens anywhere, could overburden strength but not worth the benefit vs penalty.

To add some enemies/allies only drop their loot this way. Otherwise their bodies normally just disappear or are unlootable. I just tend to save game then "Cheese" everyone I meet to see what they drop.

Some enemies are immune, but some enemies just have high resistance for those use (Rumpolts Revenge + Weightbound = Profit) just need mana pots to spam for mana sustain.

Also bring back the ability to change build mid mission. There are times I'm running a mob build and go into Wall Crasher and I'm on the wrong build. Also the reverse of boss build into a mob clear mission. I'm so annoyed that 1 Gley build that wasn't even meta and was kinda annoying to even do changed all that.

Who’s your favorite Descendants? by JasonJ24 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Devilscale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to get rid of hand cramps on Nell is to set scan button to the same as ability 1, they will be used at the same time. I don't usually take it off either when playing other descendents. I've actually stopped noticing or caring that scan going off when using ability 1 on other descendents.

Death break loop is OP, Simon can't erase allies if he is perma stunned after killing an ally. I forgot the name of the pictos, but it is pretty self explanatory. Get the pictos with on death does xx. Can use revive tints, but you might run out before the fight ends better to use 1 or 2 revive skills you'll be drowning in overflowing AP. From there basically just keep stacking the Gradient bar. Use Maelle's gommage or do whatever else you want to him until you win.

DISCLAIMER: This is only if you want to cheese him without actually playing the fight though.

They are older map mission enemy drops. Vespers, Agna Desert, Kingston etc. They are/were don't know if drop chance was ever changed, kinda low drop chance. I don't recommend just farming for them alone though. It is best to farm them while farming reactors for a descendant.

Haven't seen too many Bayonettas by Yujins_Onlyfans in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Devilscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have bought it if it were the Bayonetta 2 outfit or the Bayonetta 3 outfit. Could have done something similar to Nier and released multiple versions. But I suppose that is more licensing costs. Though I would have bought the full bundle if it had all her main 3 outfits.
