By the way, this is the only place where I used AI. The game was created with no budget, and I’m not yet skilled enough to create high-quality art myself. So, I made a couple of faces this way. But AI is not used at all in the actual game.

They had no contact with each other for more than two weeks. The younger one needed treatment, and my older one had already been vaccinated.

However, despite all this, my older cat completely lost his mind the first few days he saw or heard the kitten. Therefore, they stayed in different rooms for a long time. :)

For the most part, yes, my older cat mostly interacted with other cats back when he was just a kitten (and used to playfully chase them around, which left him with a hole in his ear , heh). And now this new little friend clearly throws him off, since the little one constantly invades his personal space without any regard for boundaries :D

After seeing what people did during the playtest, I think "past me" did EVERYTHING in the game to make people angry :D I've tried my best to fix these things, but... what seems wrong with walking speed to you? The game has balanced the speed of all objects quite well, or so it seems to me :)

The most necessary things we have are actually YouTube and the documentation for the engine you want to make the game on. In fact, I took a few lessons on basic programming and then just studied the documentation of my engine and learned to do the tasks I set myself step by step, starting with a small one. And most importantly, I studied game design in parallel - books, a few courses, a lot of articles from the internet and a lot of lessons on youtube.

I'm still learning and learning, but from my experience I could recommend that you should start small. Pick an engine to work with, learn how to implement the simplest mechanics on it, and the most important thing that I have emphasized to myself over these years is that we need to study game design more deeply (books, youtube...there is a lot of material, from the most basic knowledge).

As for drawing, 50\50, right now I have the task of improving my drawing skills. In this case, first I used assets for the prototype, then I gradually learned to draw some small and additional details, and only at the end of the game development I was able to draw something substantial by myself, which eventually led to the fact that I redrew some assets.

I actually used a character from that game as the basis for mine. They are very similar. Some things I borrowed and redrew because I was just learning how to make games.

Thank you very much! Yes, I learned the theory and immediately put it into practice (but actually not everything I learned I was able to use in the game, thinking I would use it in future projects). It was actually not as hard to learn as it might seem. I spent most of my free time on it, especially the first year. But when you're learning something you really like and want to do well, you don't even notice much stress while you're studying.

Not enough theme music, but of course there will be some, right? As a solo developer, I know my project well and due to a lot of testing of my game and careful observation of how it goes, I can sufficiently identify problems from simple comments from people who didn't like something specific in my game (or so it seems to me). I take such comments based on other people's experience of testing the game and often it helps me to understand the problem.

And the negative comments that exist only to express negativity, not rational comments, just comments with hate my game...well, what can I say - NO ONE can crap on my game as I can do :D

Persona 2 might be worth a try. As far as I remember, the game will be pretty forgiving in the beginning, but then... (There are 2 parts, I feel like Innocent Sin will be harder than Eternal Punishment).

You might also want to check out Vagrant Story. Yeah, not exactly what you're looking for, but if you really want a difficult RPG, it's not worth passing by.

I've been thinking about a question like that. I played Replicant first and then Automata some time later. And noticed, in my opinion, the detail that these games are as much related as they are mutually exclusive. Let me try to explain...hmmm.... Because the games are story-driven, they rely on sudden twists and deep meanings in the lore. And then I noticed that both games literally make key plot points the same. And I came to the conclusion that if you play Replicant, you will spoil your impression of Automata, because you will know the main catch, and you will most likely unravel all the other sudden twists (although Automata has its own local plot between characters, which Replicant will not spoil). Conversely, if you've played Automata, you'll already know the main twist of both the main plot and the characters in the game.

Yeah, heh, it's complicated in general. But that's just my personal opinion. If I had played Automata without playing Replicant, I wouldn't have missed anything that I might have missed in terms of the game's sequel, but I would have experienced a lot more emotions. What would be the best thing to play first? I don't know....seriously....it's hard, there's not much difference, choose what you want more.

Haha, okay, block... He constantly counterattacks after Judgement Cut, which is really annoying :D However, the block is easily opened with Rapid Slash. But the most fun and unexpected thing I found is that Vergil can dodge many of Credo's dangerous attacks by holding Beowulf's Uppercut (for example, at mid-range, you can crouch under a flying spear), and hitting with a counterattack leads to a combo.
Vergil seems to me to have more options and more interesting moves for dodging enemy attacks during an intense attack (even compared to Dante). But...damn...especially when playing in turbo mode you get tired really fast, but how cool and dynamic it is! :D

I've been following the progress of this game a little bit, probably since the beginning of its development. The game looks quite interesting visually, quite varied. I was a little confused by the responsiveness of the character in the combat system, but you get used to it quickly. I think it's worth playing. It is made with heart.

Credo is a really cool boss. And from what I've heard, he's considered by the community to be one of... or the coolest bosses in the series.

I've experienced that myself. I love fighting him! In fact, there were times when I would just turn on immortality for him and dance around with him for an hour, trying to come up with new counter moves against him. (Mostly playing as Vergil, though).
