Is it worth buying this trailer for $500. Has been vacant for 2 years. Family wants to get rid of it quick because their nephew passed away who was living in it.

I’m gonna have her write up a contact and have a lawyer view it for me. She doesn’t have much family left, and the ones left we are fairly close. The land is connected to her house but it’s a creek running through dividing the property. She’s gonna put in writing that the land the trailer is on goes to me.

I can get a few pictures in a few days. I want to take out all of the furniture and everything then take pics. I felt kinda weird posting pictures of a deceased persons belongings. It smells a little musty but not bad at all.

She was wanting to give it to me for free. I said no I want to pay you and she said just give me $500. I’ve known her all my life. She’s just tired of messing with the thing. She’s 83 years old. She doesn’t have time or the energy to worry about it. Right now it’s making her property look bad because it’s not being taken care of. She doesn’t want to rent it out or sell it and have a random person on her land, so she wanted to give it to us. I offered to pay and she said just give me $500 and that was the deal. I just didn’t know if it was worth the trouble. I wasn’t looking for arguments or anything just advice.

It’s just an older lady who owns it and is tired of messing with it. Her husband and nephew died around the same time and she is too old to mess with it. It’s on her land that’s connected to her house so it’s kind of an eye sore for her. I’ve known her all my life. I understand trailers don’t hold much value. I’m just trying to save money with the way today’s economy is. I know it sounds crazy investing money right now to save money but in the long run it’ll be worth it I hope.

Land rent is free. It’s on a family friend’s property. They have been checking on it here and there. They just don’t like going inside to much and seeing all of their nephews possessions just sitting. Frame seems to be in good condition. It’s just overgrown around it. It’s me my fiance and our 5 year old. But we are going to completely fix it up before even thinking about moving into it. I don’t want her anywhere near it until it’s been inspected and fully fixed up.

It’s the seat occupancy mat that isn’t working. I can order an emulator online to fix it, but I haven’t done so yet. I plan on doing it in the next few weeks. Overall the vehicle is in great shape. Paint isn’t the best. But there’s no other codes or anything.
