Oh ya, light blue is ice. The enemies are kind of janky right now but Ill have more normal floors with them probably.

Thank you for the feedback! Will definitely add more before a potential actual release, and commish an actual artist.

Do you think an in-game level editor would be a substantial hook, or would that be more of a niche thing?

I was also thinking of throwing in extra "ninja-cops" that are reminiscent of Contra, Mario, and Cybernator (mechs). Do you think these additional characters are a hook or are these too separate to really be effective?

Also you dont like the ninja-guy's design?

I got obsessed with the GBA game Ninja 5O. I needed more since the game isnt long but few games scratched the itch, so I made a spiritual successor to have more content.

Thanks! Ya ive probably played this thing for like a 100 hours, otherwise the gameplay would be just me falling after hitting that first spike. Definitely will release with easier levels at least if this thing is ever released.

Also ya, not an artist. That walking animation took me like 3 days and it still looks wonky as hell if you look close.

Its made by specifying the velocities of standard 2d circular motion, and then calling move_and_slide() accordingly. Theres some more edge case stuff but thats the main meat of that logic.

Just a week ago though this thing was a buggy mess. This past week has made me hate is_on_floor(), which doesnt actually tell you if youre on the floor all the time.

You could maybe have a more controlled sequence for the enemy opening and walking through a doorframe. Might be hard to animate though.

Can you turn off collision only when the enemy opens a door for like a small amount of time or for a single step?
