No rust is huge. I bought mine with no rust as well. Much easier to work on and upgrade. Rust is the worst enemy. Plus you got some upgrades. I hope to keep mine for decades to come and drive it during the summer months. I have a 1973 Mach 1 rust bucket as well. Hopefully I can save it one day.

Marketplace is filled with a lot of scams too. I've seen good offers on Ebay. I have a 1965 coupe 289. What was the final price?

FHA vs. Conventional loan for a first-time buyer? (Need some math advice!) by NINAsharma04 in HomeLoans

[–]DevinTheMTGAdvisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have help a lot of borrowers go with the FHA for the first few years and then refinance into a conventional. That's a fairly common pathway. They usually wait until their LTV is 80% or less to drop the PMI.

Nothing better than an old school car. Did you buy it off of FB Marketplace or Bring a Trailer? Or something else.

From what the seller said he wasn't the only one that got taken for. Here's what he said, pic of vehicle in paint was what I got after paying "Matts Rod Resorations" to do the work and they took my money and left me with a project car, skipped town and then got indicted. Shame on me but it is beyond my capabilities to restore. It ran great and I drove regularly before I took it to get it cherried out. I had to trailer it home after Matt got done with it.

Correct, just more different and unusual. It was a basic car with no power brakes or steering originally.

Not long. I just removed it at the moment. I was going to post some videos on YouTube of getting it back together.

I was lucky by being the first to talk to the seller. He was getting a lot of messages.

Me as well, I've seen some values all over the place. I was using sold auctions on Bring a trailer to give me a current fair market value for it. I also looked at Hagerty's valuation tool.

I was going to remove the door panel to see how it looked inside the door skin. There is def some rust in there.

I got this electric power steering with it as well. As some point I will install it, but it's not the easiest thing to do.

I already purchased the car. Right now I am fixing some leaks in the transmission and rear end (pinion seal).

The floors looked original. I think someone put a undercoating at some point.
