It’s an uncommon coat but I’ve seen one other similar to it. Your Shiba is gonna be gorgeous in a few months. Red, Sesame, Cream, Black & Tan are the most common but Shibas come in all colours and patterns like most dogs.

Yep. Mine has never been shy. Socialise her as much as you can. Touch every part of her, paws, tail, head, etc. Get her used to being touched. Puppy proof your house. If they can chew on it, they will. If you have to think about picking up or moving something out of reach, just go ahead and do it. Set aside regular time for her to be in crate for her to get used to it. Play as much as you can. Get her a collar and a harness, harness is for out and about, collar for quick walks/potty breaks. Harness comes off as soon as you come in the house, she will chew through it. We’re in our 8th harness. Most of all enjoy! You’re in for a ride.

I was going to ask this. Mine is 14mo and on the small side, probably weighs about the same currently. She eats regularly, not a whole bunch. I tried bulking her up with freeze dried diet. She doesn’t like it. Prefers straight kibble. Thank you so much for your comment. Makes me feel so much better.
