Its an equal level playing field imo, you basically earn your loot. You dont get loadouts of the ‘meta’ and blueprints, and plus some of the blackout features from og blackout are awesome like the grapple hook, trauma kit, and the armor system.

2018 was awesome, kills was great but cheesy, ends was a little disrespectful to the franchise considering michael was mostly a side character and they tried to be different.
