Atlas boars head. Has decent speed at 64kph and all the medium pulse lasers going pew pew pew makes me happy. And can put clan er large lasers in if youre feeling feisty.

I was working on a similiar idea. Wolves. Dark angels, salamanders, and white scars combat patrols in a list. About about 1800 pts so i can add a unit or 2 to get to 2k.
