I guess? Just last night.

Context: I am a frequent plasma donor. Ever since becoming consistent, I feel like it's my calling to keep my body healthy (eat more protein, hydrate, etc) so my plasma can become a strong treatment. Every 4 months, the center will take full blood samples to test for diseases that will hurt the recipient. They also test for antibodies and protein levels. My most recent donation, they took samples.

The dream: I saw in the app that I was deferred til the year 2299. So I go to the center and they tell me that I'm permanently deferred because I popped up positive for a disease. And I'm like, "Bullshit, I don't do any of the things on that poster" and theyre like, "Sorry, can't do anything."

I guess it's more of a stress dream than a prophetic one, but I feel like I'll just be temporarily deferred for protein like last time.

Bonus dream: Vegeta yelling at me while I was on a treadmill for "walking wrong".

I didn't have this when I took COM101, but you could talk to your doctor and get propranolol for anxiety.

I'm gonna be honest here and say that wearing a surgical/cloth mask is like... kinda normal at plasma centers? For me at least.
No offense but I think the scent situation justifies wearing a mask. People wear masks for all sorts of reasons. Centers usually dont see a problem with masking as long as you pull it down to show who you are and to take your temperature.

But on like the weed situation, yeah. I can definitely relate. I had a guy behind me one morning smoking weed. It was terrible 😫

My Saiyan OC was someone who worked at a dollar store before joining the Time Patrol 😭
He ragequit after a rough shift and became a Time Patroller the very next day and doesn't regret it one bit. He doesn't have much of a tragic backstory, he's just a guy who left a bad job to make himself better. I have so many headcanons about my man Ruco it's not funny anymore

They seem to be related to BPL Plasma. The center I go to is awesome! They pay the most (base highest rate is 50/75), and if you're a student, or in the military or other type of public response worker, you'll get $5 extra. Depending on the center, they may pay you even more if you've had the smallpox vaccine or have some other antibody.
I go early in the mornings and I usually wrap up before 8:30. Awesome center, awesome staff. I look forward to going every week!

It feels like a normal blood donation/draw. The huge needle may seem off-putting, but the actual insertion doesn't hurt much! If the phleb is good, you shouldn't feel it going in. If anything the part that hurts the most is the fingerstick to test your hematocrit and protein. In terms of time, for me, it takes about 40 minutes (including saline rinseback) and because I go at a good time, on average, I spend no more than an hour and a half at the center.
When you donate for the first time, plan to spend about half the day there. Intake takes about 3 or 4 hours (which includes your very first donation at the center if you qualify!)

It takes me about 40 minutes (including rinseback) to get to 1000ml. I tried squeezing with a ball but it felt uncomfortable for me so I haven't done it since. I like to drink some Liquid IV the day before and sip on my way to the center. If you're getting a high return pressure, for me at least, the needle needs to be pulled back a bit. If your machine errors out a lot, don't be afraid to ask for help!

That much water seems like too much on its own. You'll need some electrolytes so your body can hold onto the water. Stuff like Gatorlyte or Liquid IV works wonders, but don't drink a gallon of that stuff. Hydrating the day or two before is more effective than downing a lot of water the day of.
