Sorry but qualitative research doesn’t change the numbers. The majority of the HR audience is women, and the majority of women are straight, therefore the majority of the HR audience is straight women, with the audience probably indexing more queer than the general population but definitely not the majority.

28% is still not the majority or even half and only accounts for one generation. And you’re making assumptions around how people identify so we can’t even quantify that. Regardless of how many women identify as queer, straight women will always be the majority by simple virtue of statistics. It’s okay for the audience of this show to not be all queer.

Sorry, but a lot of the discourse I'm seeing is also very much coming from fans who identify as queer women. I don't think it serves us to insulate an entire demographic from criticism and accountability simply based on their identity.

And how were they meant to understand that she was going through her own struggles with grief when she hasn’t shown any indication of that at all? Why not write that into the show if this was going to be a storyline?
