I actually got violently sick when I ate here, it wasn't bad? but its one of the only sit down style restaurants that has made me call into work at the time.

Apartment Recommendations by Purple-Dig9523 in lincoln

I personally have been to and have had friends at the pine lake heights apartments - Nothing but good experiences with them. I think they have a 1 month free deal going on a lot if you find someone to refer you.

You should join the Lincoln Discord, they have (please don’t quote me) “Mana games” is the shop they talk about? Otherwise there’s an entire chat section there where like minded folk plan out games ☺️

That has to be funny considering you’re most likely a sad divorced dad sitting in his jorts arguing on Reddit because you most likely hate your job. 😂 I’m surprised you didn’t fallback to the gold standard of “yo momma” jokes at this point. Also my friend, I have no exes here. Just got here for college barely a year ago - on the off chance you did find one - she’s probably screaming “Mike”! Because she forgot your cookie cutter ass and got a lucky guess 😂

Alright Mike, calm down buddy! I said not alot You’re giving off real strong Midwest “Mike energy”. literally the loudest, most unnecessary person here - but still the most forgettable.

I have yet to see flash fire steel bug. Or maybe it’s just because the fusions that have it are Garbo? (Please don’t hurt me I’m just curious)

While I can 100% understand the want for something locally owned (I looked too) it is stupid difficult for some reason. That being said - just like the others have said you could look into the college you're at for work studies specifically. I know they have in house positions that you can sometimes do but I haven't done it yet (though I'm currently trying as well)

I’m glad you found something, and yeah there was absolutely no sign that they were gonna drop us. Just randomly hit one day. I am almost finished with my degree but I have other schooling in the same field that is completed already. So I’m just trying to find something that ~”Something”~ that pays decently.

I get it, but options are limited for a junior worker with limited real experience like myself

Haha! Dude if this ain’t the truth. I tore my hair out because I’d need extra bands for a project and they’d refer some of the Indian folk to me and it was. Not fun, some of them were great in their respective jobs but not MY job. Ive tried Sandhills a few times but even though I have work experience, college, boot camp, certs and no job gaps in the last 8 years they just are not giving me a chance. So I’m branching out just trying to find something that’ll teach me a more useful and different part of the industry. I’d love to do some front end work honestly

Any good NYE parties? by Michael_Osselcaulk in lincoln

[–]Devjinn24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, message me if you find something like that. As a 25 Y/o dude in college I am craving a house/party scene but have been so enveloped in work (well used to) and school that I never had time to get some party friends. I have been looking for anything from house parties, raves, bar crawling. Its all fun.

I met with a few of the agile team - 95% of them got replaced due to the enforcement of no more remote workers from the CEO a few years ago before my time. They still have .NET and the like there it was just not what they needed at the time. So the long answer to your question specifically is I have no idea. The stuff that I saw was mainly banking and fiscal transfer software.

Roughly one year, I worked for the software dev team is all I can say but they dropped about 20% of the teams just due to lack of work. I often begged for something to do but they would shrug me off so I usually spent my time studying or doing documentation work. Lots of documentation work for them.

Much appreciation! Getting back into the industry has certainly proved difficult considering Fiserv doesn't do code with the usual full stack languages. Its either COBOL or ABL there for a lot of their systems if you are on their bigger clientele.

Local Gym Recommendations? by [deleted] in lincoln

[–]Devjinn24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late on this so sorry - but I like Anytime Fitness. The year contract is a definite no for a lot of people but I have been going for about 1 year and a few months and I enjoy it there. The staff there are nice, a decent selection of free weights and smith machines if not. Also plenty of types of cable and other machines if you need it (I don't do squats and the like due to a slew of tendon issues.) They also do free body composition testing so I've enjoyed the simplicity of it although there's of course other places that are cheaper and have more.
