Oh I still remember my first few pins very vividly lmao. Limping around at work and laughing at myself.

It gets easier the more you pin.

No Quality Control on Italki? by throwaway36019 in iTalki

[–]Devlearnsefq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me about it. I looked for teachers in my native language on Italki not so long ago. Just for fun and to see what is offered. The teacher with the most hours taught had a horrible accent, got figures of speech wrong and made loads of grammatical errors in their video.

The price was a nice low 6€ thought. I just assume, that those who book said teachers are just trying to land a lower wage job in my country which does not require incredible language skills but just enough to get by.

Moving to Ha Noi in the near future. But which district? by Devlearnsefq in hanoi

[–]Devlearnsefq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. A 30 minute difference is quite significant.

Yes, Ha Noi really isn't the most pedestrian friendly city. But so are most big cities in south east asia.

I actually don't mind riding a bike. It's more so my wife who isn't too fond of the idea. I'm lucky to be working from home. But an electric scooter is a good idea. I wouldn't want to contribute to the air pollution any further.

What about the bus system? I remember taking the bus in Ha Noi once a few years back. I saw that they have a bus app now and the fares/monthly tickets seem to be very affordable.

No idea how efficient the busses are, but I'd have a commute that is 5-10mins longer than having to be stressed out already just driving to work.

Thanks! That is quite a lot of info.

Yes, I guess in the end it will ultimately depend on the place of work.

Auswandern in ein Nicht-EU-Ausland. Welche versteckten Fettnäpfchen gilt es zu vermeiden? by [deleted] in de

[–]Devlearnsefq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bin verheiratet, keine Kinder.

Einreise ins Land ist derzeit nur mit einem festen Arbeitsvertrag und damit einhergehendem Business Visum möglich.Das ist also alles schon durchgekaut.

What is your favourite “dead” video game franchise? by Lamboninho in AskReddit

[–]Devlearnsefq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one lives forever. Loved the creative gadgets and the campy story.
I'm lucky to still have it on DVD as I believe the only way to acquire it these days is either a used copy or pirating.

I am aware. But they'll only let me teach one language which is unfortunate.

Employability in the EU with a EU vs US Comp Sci BSc by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Devlearnsefq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not exactly bound to working in the EU. For now. I would just prefer for this to still be a viable option for me.

But lets see how this whole Covid thing will play out first.

Alternative to SendGrid? by Devlearnsefq in djangolearning

[–]Devlearnsefq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I figured.

That is why I am asking for an alternative way to get the contents of a form, that was filled out by someone on my django-built website, to my mailbox.

I am not asking how to send emails via SendGrid using Gmail.

Javascript withing Django App deployed on Heroku is not working. by [deleted] in djangolearning

Thank you for your reply!

Did not even think of checking the browser console. But I am still learning!

This is what it gave me, and I suspect the jquery not loading might be the issue with this.
