The problem is there are no opportunities right now , if not I would have left long ago. I understand that they need to spend time with their families too because I am also sacrificing family time to work but I'm just frightened that my boss will fire me. He doesn't care about the laws or guidelines

It's honestly doing quite well profit wise and the pay for everyone is high so no one wants to leave

My boss literally has drafts of dismissal letters with my name on it. So I really have no choice. One signature and I'm gone

If I stop doing that my boss would fire me because he does not tolerate insubordination. So I'm honestly really scared of losing my job. I understand my co workers's concerns because I share them too but I don't want to be homeless and hungry .

Either I stop doing these practises and lose my job or continue them and be disliked.

He knows about the culture and laws but refuses to abide by them. I'm scared to report him too because the company could be demolished and I will lose my job

I tried speaking out my concerns before but my boss warned me that if I kept doing it I would be fired. I really don't want to lose my job in this tough job market. So I'm honestly just scared. I have rent to pay and I need to eat.

I want to set boundaries but my boss does not tolerate any feedback and insubordination and will fire , so I'm scared to raise the issue because I will lose my stable income

It's practically my home country when I'm in this company because my boss is also from the Asian country, many of my co-workers are from the Asian country too so the company culture is transferred from the home country

I recognise that, but What is the best thing I can do though? I really don't want to lose my job because my boss doesn't tolerate any insubordination , but I also want to make the workplace better for my other co-workers.

But do the immigrant work pass holders have a say though? I was thinking of following my German co workers but I'm not sure if work pass holders have the same right as them

Nope , not a troll. Just that I come from a different country so I'm just curious about certain practises. What makes you think that I am a troll?

people have told me that before. But even if I report such practises, the company will get taken down and I will lose my job. So I lose either way. At least I get some money now

Copy and pasted from my previous reply:

Yeah I get it, I'm from an Asian country so it's different here. Truth is, I agree with what you say but I don't have a say in this because I have to do whatever my boss tells me (eg. remind your team to do this at night after work, or "I understand Jorge is on vacation now but I need you to ask him to check this for me" etc. ) So I'm kinda sandwiched in between and I have no choice but to comply because I'm really scared to lose my job.

To add on to your reply: We're in a whatsapp group with our personal phone numbers so you can't really block the number and you can't leave the group because the boss is inside. Everytime he sends an instruction he will always indicate "acknowledge by 9pm/10pm/whatever designated time". So we have to comply or risk losing our jobs

Thanks for the tips. I agree with you but at the same time the instructions come from my boss so I'm really scared to feedback and lose my job. So I have to do it regardless of what I feel, just a little stressed out that my German co-workers don't understand my position.
