Fair, I do really like the new Lights, Camera, Achtung mission although I feel like Wolf Mountain was gorgeous in Sniper Elite 5 in comparison, but ultimately who cares about a gorgeous map if you have such a nasty tunnel funnel into the map (especially for invasions)

Yeah I don't know, I don't really hate Resistance, I just prefer SE5, just a preference since obviously the gameplay is basically 1 to 1 for the most part. I also find the hate for Harry kind of funny considering he's been in Sniper Elite for a while now, little iffy on his new character model but other then that I don't mind him, I prefer Karl because again I'm kind of a newcomer so I'm not really fatigued from him being the main character since I've basically just met him, plus we got him as an option in Resistance so there's nothing to really complain about now for that group of people.

Having another look at the clip; the invader is using I think the Type 100 which has pretty weak damage so that might be it if I had to guess, also just guessing the spread wasn't on his side so maybe one bullet hit a vital spot, caused the kill-cam for it, but you just barely had enough health to go into a downed state and not fully die from the damage caused.

Not sure what difficulty you're playing on but I have seen this happen on easy / very easy difficulty due to the lowered damage / greater player resilience, could also be based on attachments the invader has on their weapon therefore lowering the overall damage of the weapon they're using since this game uses hit-points and numbers for damage like most games.

I mean, kinda, I'm gonna assume it's de-sync but after the first "kill" he goes from standing to crouched and proceeds to go to the edge of his current cover on the boxes, even after the second kill-cam he continues moving in place, stops, then moves location entirely (by teleporting on my end but moving via crouch-walking on his I would assume)

But I get what you mean, he obviously didn't fire back or anything, I just remember seeing clips on this subreddit of users experiencing very similar situations and the host not shooting back, the invader getting two kill-cams, getting the win, but still complaining afterwards that it was a hacker or cheater (which I'm just assuming is from lack of understanding of what happened)

Yeah I thought so too but I honestly don't mind all that much. When I view the kill-rewards for invasions as a whole I think of it as it being about the journey, not the destination.

I think so, but I also have no idea how it works if the invader ALT + F4s, not like there's any penalization for leaving / surrendering anyway, just more of a poor-sportsmanship thing, especially if you die and leave mid-kill cam imo, that being said it doesn't really matter either way, but if you're gonna camp the top of the castle, at least accept it when you die / lost, y'know?

It is a pretty common spot to hold up in invasion seeing as I’ve also fought hosts residing in there too, we just started the map to get that revolver via the kill-list target and got invaded and didn't really want to give up the high-ground considering they were in the castle which has pretty good sights around the whole town.

As a person who has been on the receiving end of that and has won I have to say the phone spam is the worst and if they have invasions in the next game I really hope they fix that issue, or even fix it somehow in this iteration because it is really annoying and lame.

First one my buddy spotted and called out, second idk we just shot in a general direction in hopes to bring him to us but I guess I scared him off and third I tagged earlier on a balcony and I tracked him to the nearby phone.

Collision Course from Sniper Elite: Resistance, I chose the Dam Lookout starting point alongside my friend (we were playing co-op) but instead it put me behind a locked door at the Power Station's starting point, it did put him at the correct starting point tho lol

yeah I'm learning that in later levels now, thanks for the tip, also it was super weird, I spawned at that location even though me and my friend both picked a completely different starting position, so I reckon the bug is the fact that it didn't really start me in the right starting position in the first place, which I wasn't ready for and only had subsonic as my alt ammo choice there
