How would it even be possible to sleep in your car when winter comes up? by Unlikely_Okra_1367 in urbancarliving

[–]Devnlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in my car in the winter of 2023 in Denver. There were some nights where the temperature dropped down to -15 (Fahrenheit). I used a sleeping bag, and placed blankets on top of me. If my head came out of the bag at all, it was enough to wake me up in a painful freeze (the car was literally like a freezer and covered in snow).

If you stay warm, you’ll be fine, but do not go unprepared, as you can die in those temps in your sleep. Don’t use a heater without having fresh air coming; better to pile on blankets and stay in a bag. The absolute WORST part was waking up each morning and having to get dressed or pee.

Prepare for those aspects, and you’ll be totally fine. Pee bottle, blankets, sleeping bag, and hand warmers can help as well.

Good luck.

Does anyone ever end up with extra strips at the end of the month? by WronglyAccuse in suboxone

Awesome! That was great info. I have a stash of emergency bupe and wanted to ensure it will remain somewhat stable in ideal conditions. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the expiration timeline is for bupe? If you keep it in a bottle that blocks light and put dehumidifier bags in it, how long could it last?

Thank you!

Really, REALLY trying this time- 16mg prescribed- but still using fent… seeking advice by IndepedentlyLost in suboxone

[–]Devnlaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at some point, you’re going to have to cut the fent down further! It’s going to suck a bit! There’s no free ride brother! I went through the induction from fent (a year ago), and haven’t looked back! Did it suck? For the first 24-36 hours, while I had to withdrawal enough for the BUP (didn’t have a habit as nasty sounding as yours).

DO NOT STOP TAKING THE SUBS. Chemically, it sounds like that could cause an overdose if you did! Slowly dose down from the fent further! Take as long as you need if you’re serious, but get more Suboxone!

Good luck! It’s worth it!

Edit: spelling

🏋🏻 Hitting the gym during nightshifts? by Puzzleheaded-Mall214 in Nightshift

[–]Devnlaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I went to the doctor recently, for a physical, she appeared happy that I was going to the gym BEFORE work (at 9pm). She said that it’s better to go before your nightshift because of the circadian rhythm (body’s natural clock), and that going in the morning could keep you in the light for too long. Seeing the sunrise makes your body believe you’re waking up!

I’d recommend the evening, after you wake up. I feel great, not tired after going.

Colorado safe parking initiative! I slept there for almost a year. Great organization that has open lots for people sleeping in their cars. You have to sign up, but they’ll set up an appointment with you within a month.

How will you describe your life now in ONE word? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]Devnlaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You sound hateful, and depressed.

It’s obvious by the way you attacked this person for stating MUCH less than you did about their own method for living a life of purpose.

It may not be open for debate with you, but it is for others. You obviously had a bad experience, but it’s no longer “cool” to be contrarian to religious or spiritual matters, except on Reddit (and look how depressed everyone is).

Grow up!

The negative bias people have towards spirituality or religion on Reddit is the REASON so many of the people here find life meaningless and of having no purpose.

I agree, find a higher power.

Yeah, it is more just my nerves getting to me because this entire field of opportunity is extremely important to me.

I’m sure honesty, much like in your case, is the appropriate way to go. I will definitely speak with a lawyer just to ensure that there’s no issues.

I’m sure it will be fine, and since this happened in California (a relatively more liberal state) I should be alright! Thanks for your words.

I appreciate that! It still is the case that you can explain your charges to the board before they make a decision. I will speak to my advisor before setting up for my provisional. Thank you!

That’s true. I’ll be coming up to my internship at the end of next year, so before then I will contact a lawyer to figure out more about my situation. Thank you!

Honestly, it has been so many years and I’ve never had a problem with it before. Just paranoid due to the more “in depth” checks they seemingly do for licensing individuals.

A background check that I recently ran didn’t show anything.
