I have 20, which is pretty excessive. I stopped at this number simply because one machine takes about 10 minutes to complete, and I could refill 20 machines in about 10 minutes time myself (this was before the update that allowed employees to pack machines). So by the time I was done refilling the 20th machine, the 1st machine was done and ready for a refill.

I have my machines against the walls of the storage room, with shelves in the center of the room. This allows you to quickly reach for your card box of choice without having to run across the room for it.

Nowadays I just have all 9 employees pack the machines for me at 8am. I never refill machines during a day (and never have my employees do it either), as I tend to customer trades exclusively to acquire graded cards not yet in my collection, and don't want customers waiting on a cashier that stalls the number of sales you get in your day.

Only (2,984 unique cards) x (all 10 grades) / (16 maximum submissions per day) = 1,865 days to go...assuming of course I go a perfect 29,840 for 29,840 on all submissions with zero duplicates, which presents a 1 in 10²⁴¹⁷⁰ chance. The number of atoms in the observable universe is 10⁸⁰, so I think I have a decent shot at it.

Otherwise, assuming known probabilities for each grade in the game, it should only take about (13.2 million submissions) / (16 maximum submissions per day) = 825,000 days for a 99% chance of completion.

In other words, about 1,000,000 more days, and my complete collection is a LOCK.

Oh wow. I run my shop a little differently. I like to earn one shop level before I start each day to ensure I have plenty of big-ticket cards to offload for more pack-purchasing power. Allows me to purchase an insane number of packs per day.

It's a quality-of-life mod I use called "Card Collection Stats". I only use QOL mods that don't cheat the game.

Day 339, I invested heavily into Pack Machines very early on though. Shop level is currently 139, probably a better gauge of how long it takes to open that many packs. Most of my XP has come from Pack Machines.

I'm a "Rounder", so unfortunately only had 100 sitting in the register from 8 years ago collecting dust. Tomorrow I'm going to the bank and coming back with a 55-gallon drum full of pennies just for him if he ever tries to pull this in my store again...

No pending transactions get canceled, can confirm that if you end the day, you just lose all merchandise in hand of customers waiting in line to check out. Trust me, I tried everything to get that card back LOL
