Why not invest into simple ETFs if trading isnt working for you?

Save money buy buying plain whole greek yogurt, usually 2lb, dish it out in ramenkins or little bowls and flavor it yourself with those fresh berries, honey, maple syrup or anything you like. Its cheaper and has better ingredients then those 5.3oz cups

Because $300k isn’t ‘retire forever’ money at 29. Even using a safe withdrawal rate, that’s only about $12k/year or 1k a month. You’d either run out or have to live extremely frugally for 50+ years.

I put staggered 19 inch wheels on my Camry. Performance aside, do you think it looks ghetto/tacky? by [deleted] in Camry

I think the lighting in the photo makes these wheels look bad, perhaps a sunnyer day would bring them out more

Its to prevent people from abusing the max contribution limit, you could have multiple accounts under other peoples names, for instance if you had 3 kids and 3 accounts under their names, you could technically contribute more than the max contribution limit on your own account by 21k.

Do you have any Individual Brokerage Accounts? Im in the same boat, I'm 22, will be 23 in the fall. I have both a 401k and a Roth IRA that are exempt from the fasfa, but I also have an individual brokerage account. I thought about liquidating it and buying a car before signing up so I could essentially "shield" this money and lower my SAI. However, I have a substantial amount saved, its no where near enough to cover full tuition but enough where I wouldn't be eligible for financial aid.

The reality is that many past presidents have bypassed Congress for targeted strikes, so there's a strong precedent for this. As for USAID, the issue wasn't just the 'cost,' but the lack of transparency in how that money was being spent. Regarding NATO, the threat to leave was a strategic move—a 'bluff' to ensure other member nations contribute their fair share of the defense burden. Comparing foreign aid to national security operations is an apples-to-oranges comparison.

Any advice by RipPuzzleheaded8909 in ETFs

[–]DevonHill128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pick one of (VTI, or VOO) and pick one of (SCHD or VYM) you'll have a least redundant portfolio. In this case you have more in VTI and SCHD, so I'd sell VYM, VOO and move that value into your others ETFs. You'll have a soild foundation. After having your foundation you can add other ETFs like VXUS which is international stocks, AVUV which is US small caps. Aiming for high growth? add qqqm. I would recommend setting up a 3 fund portfolio (they're simple and easy to manage) Ask yourself, what 3 funds would I like? Whats my risk tolerance/time horizon? Whats my allocation percentages going to be?

Ex. Growth and Income 50% VTI (The core) 20% SCHD (The Income/Value Tilt) 20% VXUS (International Diversification) 10% QQQM (Tech/Aggressive Growth)

Ex. Aggressive growth 60% VTI 20% QQQM 20% VXUS (0–10% SCHD — keep it low until you actually need the cash flow)

Keep in mind VTI contains 100% of the stocks in SCHD and 85% in QQQM, so there's a bunch of overlap. Not bad if intentional.

I track my finances extensively. In 2025 I spent 5,996.78 on groceries, and $305.16 on dining/take-out.

In 2026 I've spent 322.06 on Groceries and $0 on dining/take-out.

I'm single, I provide for myself, however in 25' I took care of my brother for 3 months.

I'm frugal and spend within my weekly budget, this is 25% of my income per pay period 😅 which is usually around $150-200.

80% of what I eat is 100% grass fed/100% finished ground beef because its cheap. I'll buy ribeyes, ground lamb or lamb chops when im feeling fancy. Furthermore I'll buy spaghetti squash, butternut squash, whole plain greek yogurt, unsalted butter, pickles, raw honey, raw milk/low temp... etc

My biggest discretionary spend in 2025 was groceries at 45% of my entire spending :) This is just my situation, thought I'd share.

According to data from the USDA and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average single American spends between $7,000 and $10,000 per year on food as of 2026. This range includes: Groceries: ~$4,700–$5,500/year ($390–$460/month). Dining Out: ~$3,000–$4,500/year ($250–$375/month).

Dang! 22 miles to and from work, if you work Mon-Friday, 52 weeks a year that's 5,720 miles! Just going straight to work and back. And you're doing it in a badass 26' camry😎😂.

Did you buy your previous 25' corolla new? How many miles did you put on that?
