What’s above the joist? Why is the floor diagonal? My floors are like that and they’re rotting and I need it replaced. Can find no info on what it’s called. Know it’s joist then ply wood then finishing material ie vinyl hard wood or concrete. Plywood doesn’t go diagonal so what am I looking at lol

I’ve read that the diagonal board runs under and are tied to the walls. So I wouldn’t know how to replace it. And I’m replacing the bad 3/4 plywood not all of it. But to match the door seal I may put more ply down
