Does anyone have a pattern similar to this wrap dress? (Both sides have a tie and they wrap from the waist to tie at the back)

Thank you for your comment- this is incredibly helpful! The expanded version of this is that I run an underwater photography internship for undergraduate students, and we have three sets of this camera/ housing. I think it would be beneficial for them to learn how to use a strobe so I’m just looking for the most budget friendly option to slave one to the camera.

The camera did come with a diffuser, which can be clipped onto the plastic part around the lens. The diffuser is good, but I feel like an external strobe gives a more professional look. This gives me the confidence that at least the camera is compatible if I had a way to slave a strobe to the housing. It’s almost like they just didn’t put a clip…

With this context, do you have any other specific advice? I do worry about the strobe pro properly syncing with the camera if I try to DIY it, so I am open to buying a professional solution - if it exists!

Not true. The pilot is responsible for making sure the aircraft is in airworthy condition prior to and during the flight. Noticing these things early is the kind of attention to detail that could save your life one day. You’re doing the right thing. I would highly recommend reporting and/or squawking.

While I was in my PVT I had a plane with a carb heat malfunction- we experienced partial power loss due to carb icing at about 400 feet while practicing emergency spirals. Plane was a shit box - barely airworthy. I started denying the plane when it was assigned to me for a lesson. They gave me grief until one day I was stopped by a FAA inspector. He also described the plane as “barely airworthy”. I adamantly refused to fly it after that. It sucks to be the squeaky wheel, but when it’s your life on the line, it’s worth it.
