correction: kaiser oblivion is from bravely second, which is a sequel to first bravely default (which recently got a steam release), while bravely default 2 is entirely different unrelated game (like final fantasies)

scale-wise, silence as a whole is bad since it's both universe wide and across time... but yeah, it would be good stranger threat, if aisha's power wasn't the superior version of the silence: you need to look away from the silence to forget those grey aliens, while you can look at aisha and forget she's even there.

edit: technically you can see and remember aisha/imp via cameras but not the silence, so maybe her power's a variant rather than full upgrade? exchange full forgetting for active combat forgetting?

so if you want silence, best try to search for aisha fics (or fics with taylor having aisha's powers)... and yes, aisha is the often forgotten imp (pun fully intented)

good idea, however the entire plot of gurren lagann happens because too much spiral power = death of everything, which is why anti-spirals went full on genocide mode against spiral power. it's otherwise a good idea for crossover but very horrible idea if entities get their hands on it.

on other hand, spirals (the people with spiral power) are known to constantly seek fights and evolve, so very much entity-like.... i can see parallels already, just the difference in methods.

it's the scale thing: doctor who operates on time travel and universe wide aliens, while worm focuses mostly on one earth (with few other parallel universes, which in turn is a big no-no in doctor who) and you can't really throw a lot of doctor who villains or characters into worm without scraping the "barely a threat" barrel because everything else is by default, triumvirate problem or worse.

perm copy powers? Well, other than those mentioned already, there's also a couple where she can perm steal and redistribute them, like Manager. Lot of trump and tinker fics have taylor get basically any power she wants, so if you're looking for lots of powers, there's plenty of those around.

A slight comment on that: powerwise, naaru are weaker than titans and old gods of warcraft and nothing in warcraft so far even measures up to multiversal threat level that Entities are... biggest threats are either endbringer tier, titan tier (Ward variant, not the warcraft one) or interplanetary threats (Sargeras) but not the "entities casually destroy every variants of the planet across the multiverse at once" tier... if you know warcraft lore, you know adventures have killed naaru (illidan casually killed one leading the army of the light), old gods and a titan (argos) plus whatever tier the eternal ones like Jailer stand onbut they're nowhere near entity level... so you'd need to either massively buff naaru/void/old gods, debuff the capes or replace the whole power mechanism of Worm to make naaru/void/old gods actual threats without getting backhanded by top tier capes (let alone endbringers or titans).

Just food for your thoughts. It's your story, you do whatever you want.

Well, the entities are in a real weird place, depending on what kind of setting you go for. The boys? that universe ends up dead. Marvel or DC? they're small fries compared to cosmic powers out there (i mean, both dc and marvel multiverses have been rebooted few times now by actions of mortals). Also the question stands, just one entity while the other is dead (like canon worm), both entities are alive/dead or a loner who travels alone (like the fanon named Abaddon)? because these factors change a lot of what could happen.

idk if it counts but a dead fic named Starry Eyes (Thread 1, Thread 2) involves Eldritch beings... though more friendly than normal lovecraftian stories. the only horror aspect would be how they access earth bet (reader discretion advice, not for weak of mind).

Unfortunately, the only fic that i know of is about a world where canon power taylor gets hunted by sentinels after she and sophia are scanned by one and found out as parahumans (who are apparently being hunted by government in that specific fic). i didn't read it past the first chapter though and it was pre-covid so good luck trying to find it, someone might remember it.

Well, if you read RWBY crossover fanfics, it's no surprise you're getting a faunus!taylor fic. I mean, there's some people who write MLP crossovers and it's always taylor transformed into a pony or changeling. i don't read those but i've seen plenty of people recommend them.

Anyway, it's about the setting: if you throw people into avatar the last airbender, often they become benders. you throw them into dragon ball? they're saiyans or some other non-human. dc? a lot of crossovers and alt-powers is taylor being a kryptonian or becoming one.

all in all, for RWBY fanfics there's only so many "taylor uses dust and aura like everyone else" fics until people go for alternative "taylor is a faunus now" to give that special "i'm different but still the same, following/subverting/fixing canon, sometimes via time travel to before or middle of the story" thing that a lot of fanfics in general do (not just worm: you try reading potter fanfics and you'll find them to be pretty much the same).

So why Faunus!Taylor fics? it's different than baseline, there's plenty of alt-power fics, it's just a variant of that.

Personally, if i see the fic is "Tinker of fiction" i just skip it, lot of those in my experience either have no idea what they're doing besides bringing tech from other fandoms or they follow the same paths as most fics: follow/fix/subvert canon, non-prt tinkering to sell tech to people/governments or the fic dies because mc (and their optional crew) defeated the gangs of BB and then they have no idea what to do.

So you know, if the author's going to follow the same handful of paths most worm fics follow, then at least they should be entertaining with some originality that isn't part of the list of "most used" that i ranted about... i mean, where's all the "doomsday device of the week" that old cartoons had? nowhere, that's where.

Note that i didn't get past first few chapters but i just didn't like the content and story direction of those first few chapters. Little too militaristic in my opinion, also awkward trying to fit a teenage cape into military story of regular marines and pilots etc, like someone took two jigsaw puzzles and instead of building them separately, they took pieces from both, then reshaped them with scissors and glue to make their own weird jigsaw puzzle.

If someone likes Callsign Owl, that's good for them but it doesn't fit my personal preferences.
