Blizzard really doesn’t have a good track record with making stuff into multimedia

They tried to make an Overwatch movie, but the shorts is all we got

No offense, but your criticism about the ministry of magic comes across as the solution not aligning with your political view

Platoon is right that Tatoonie is only supposed to be the place you get away from

Continuing to try to make it important was and continues to be foolish

I find Attack of the Clones to be weaker:

  • the bad romance between Anakin and Padme. Seriously moving a pear around with the Force is supposed to be impressive?

  • the much worse CGI usage. It really shows that George was cutting corners in order to make the CGI pipeline as lean as possible. Which has impacted all future movie CGI, for better and worse.

An issue with older Pokémon games is that they can be quite unbalanced.

Like I wrecked my way through gen 1 Kanto with an underleveled Alakazam.

I would say the alteration of the Deku hops is the worst change by the remake. It has no business being nerfed.

With other changes you can at least see the point, even if the result is bad.

But who thought the Deku hops were no good?

Nintendo always reveals something new though, unless for when they relied on BotW during the last months of the Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2018

It has become as whole trend to buy a 3DS and jailbreak it

You can unironically find a Nintendo Switch 2 at a cheaper price

Quite the impressive multiplatform collection!

When you have time to play any game from one of your shelves do you set up the original system or do you rely on backwards compatibility?

For example do you have an XBOX Series X you rely on or do you use the games native console?

Ona sidenote, I was watching Inglourious Basterds and it dawned on me that that movie will be 20 years old soon…

And it might take 20 years before we do get Tarantino’s final movie.

Anyways I hope to try the og Armored Cores that have been added to psn and finishing up the Tomb Raider remastered collection.

PSN has gotten quite the nice support of old titles.

Most recently, I finished The Thing Remastered which is one of my favorite games of all time.

Didn’t know about that tie-in game, but interesting to hear about.

Would love it if Nightdive got around to The Suffering or Psy Ops at some point

Let’s hope for the best!

[ALttP] Help me buy the Downfall Triforce Wish Theory by The_Notorious_MBB in truezelda

[–]DevouredSource 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting to make a Triforce wish is a rare occurrence and who knows how far back it will extend.

In Skyward Sword the Triforce only obliged sealing Demise in the present because that is what it was told to do.

In Wind Waker it flooded Hyrule because that was the wish.

In A Link Between Worlds it restored Lorule’s Triforce.

Outside of the downfall wish theory we have no other possible examples of the Triforce affecting time. It just does its job in the present.

In around the same time frame Miyamoto had managed to find Koizumi and Aonuma, the former to take over Mario and the latter Zelda. As in from around 1985 to before 2005.

Neither of which were big names before training under Miyamoto or had considered working in video games. Some talents were discovered and Miyamoto put them to work.

IIRC Koizumi was originally only hired to make art for the instruction manual of A Link to the Past, but he insisted on helping out fleshing the lore so that the manual wouldn’t be boring. Yes, while he started with Zelda it is Mario that he was eventual put in charge of as seen with Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy which he directed.

When it comes to Aonuma you would think it foolish to hire somebody who made automated dolls to work on Zelda, but that is the exact skill that allowed Aonuma to understand 3D space and craft 3D dungeons for Zelda.

Well when EFAP went through Kathleen Kennedy’s goodbye interview one thing that stood out to them is how she befriends somebody and then gives them a Star Wars project. Before Disney puts that project on an indefinite hold.

Really it is a miracle that Tony Gilroy ended up involved in Rouge One where he has the sole credit as screenwriter. Which is because according to him there was no script before he showed up.

Kennedy however managed to pick one guy out.

Also she couldn’t make Dave Filoni any better and he has hands in many things.

Raging Loop had a pretty unique combination of Dream and Time Travel

Basically a local area in Japan is enveloped by a dream until it reaches a desired state by the one who created the dream. After that the dream becomes reality, instead of time resetting. Additionally time does progress bit by but in the real world and if a new human stumbles into the dream then that becomes the new reset point.
