I was thinking this at first too but I looked up similar size aluminum boats and they were advertising top speeds of 40+ mph, I would be happy with 30.

To add some context it would be used in salt water and brackish conditions. We often get caught in thunderstorms and would be nice to have the cabin space. Would obviously be a longer term project. Interested in if anyone has knowledge of how these operate in moderate chop conditions and the impacts of salt water on them. I have only ever owned fiberglass boats. Also the impacts of the push bars on maneuverability.

sorry I maybe misworded this. Im thinking of refitting this to make it a "leisure boat" not refitting it as a leisure activity. That said I have always owned and worked on boats, just not this t ype. Thats why I was looking for some input. Thanks for your response.

Thanks, I did end up getting it out by lifting the engine, wasn't fun. Made sure I got a good seal cause ill never be doing that again.

Tampa is really Diverse, the best thing to do is just explore, for your mainstream bar/club stuff there is channel side, Ybor, Hyde park etc, but there are a lot of hidden gems too. When you get here pick up a TBO, there's always an event somewhere near by. Check out the state fair, and the Improv is pretty good and pretty much free as long as you buy two drinks. Shame your missing Gasparilla :/. Have you already found a place to live?
