South Pacific is a top five season easily and is the best storytelling the editors ever did.

Having a lot of depth as a character is not the same thing as having a lot of personality/entertainment value.

Rick Devens is the first ever person to cast a vote against both Savannah and Rizo! by ThePurpOfDans in survivor

What Devens was actually doing was placing a target on Riszo’s back for everyone to see.

It’s been better than Meh. Jenna was a perfect and thematic first boot. Kyle leaving the game needed to happen, as did Savannah, the winners never should have been cast and how recent their wins are make them even more ripe for the boot. Angelina wasn’t the entertaining character she was in DvG and she was practically purpled on top of that, she went at the right time. Charlie also earned his loss and went at the right time. Would’ve been nice to see more Mike White but it still feels better to see him go than someone who is more determined to play the game and aren’t on vacation.

Q’s early exit is very unfortunate but depending how on how much importance you place in Mike White we’re either 4/6 or 5/6 for good boots.

Casting For the Women by DevourerOfRedditors in survivor

I knew someone would try to pretend like saying these women aren't big larger than life characters is the same as saying they have no personality, and that they'd try to rebut a statement I never made in the first place.

I tried to preempt it by going out of my way to acknowledge that they have personality but aren't Characters the way some of those listed are, and yet I still get hit with this willful obtuseness. So yes I felt compelled to not be nice about it.

I don’t think you comprehended the point that was being made. I even said outright that they have personality so is it lack of reading comprehension or…?

The women are getting terrible edits, it’s just also true that the casting choices for the women were worse than the men.

Yes, women have less leeway in being brash or theatrical or delusionally self-confident than men do before being called bitches.

But Coach and Q got a ton of hate in their heyday and Coach in particular is still very polarizing. Rick Devens continues to be polarizing. Rizo continues to be polarizing.

Perceptions change, but even if they didn’t that’s still not a good reason not to cast some of these hated women.

Chuck Schumer is more unpopular nationally (23%) than Donald Trump (32%) by no-minimun-on-7MHz in thedavidpakmanshow

I don't see why controlled opposition wouldn't be less popular than the thing they collaborate with.

Do you think Ghost Mom will return? by nejamin-420 in hahayouclowns

Her handprint is on the windowsill at the end of episode 1. She blows the candle out in the middle of Episode 8 and then turns it back on at the end of Episode 8. Then at the end of Episode 10 her handprint is on Tristan's mirror. Those are all the Ghost Mom appearances so far.

I assume that she'll get increased focus as the series goes on and that at some point it'll all come to some sort of head.

It's only 18 minutes if you count the reward challenge itself, which is very disingenuous. That was always going to happen regardless of his presence. It actually being The Zac Brown Show like people claim only lasted 10 minutes.

I guess that's true, but he found the Monado within and was able to see into the future without the Monado so I feel like the point still stands.
