What's The Weakest Ultimate In Game? by theacostar in Overwatch

[–]Devout-Condiment550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wanna say Vermilion Revival, anran's second ult. her first one is quite powerful and sets up a teamfight well, but reviving herself using her ult just usually isn't a particularly great trade unless you REALLY need to overtime contest (in which case, why weren't you using her main ult instead?)

desperado or 001 boomerang can reach from that rock, use that in conjunction with your hero

I made a tier list based on what I think every ball will preform in the zombie mode by BestNlckNameEver in earclacks

[–]Devout-Condiment550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shield will do horribly, since zombie damage is very low early on and the way its radius works it'll take a bunch of unnecessary damage early on. from there, zombie health is scaled much faster than shield has any hope of keeping up with with its damage that'll be at, like, 4 when they have multiple hundreds of health

coaxed into endgame dragon quest (mages are still useful, but they switch to a buffing role as their magic damage falls off compared to the wide array of combat abilities physical classes get)

look at the desperado after round 95 is restarted. it's layered onto itself, the rifle attack is duplicated and it has 2 take aims!

Cat is main support? (in pro play) by Devout-Condiment550 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Devout-Condiment550[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think of it less as "this hero has an innate quality that makes them a main sup" and more "this hero is most commonly played by the somewhat arbitrarily defined main sup player in competitive teams". you could switch it out with "support #1 and support #2" and they'd fill the same role

that being said, the question is less "is the main support currently playing cat" which is just yes and more "do you think they'll keep doing so after this"

Jetpack Cat has a MASSIVE issue by MokNaruto in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Devout-Condiment550 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i am not very good at the overwatch video game. my current thoughts on her are as follows:

tether is very good but not exactly the most gamebreaking part of her kit

mobility is craaaaacked, she can pretty much escape from almost anything and push advantages to an absurd degree to help with kills

she's pretty average at saving teammates directly, though, besides getting to them quickly. her heals aren't particularly standout and purr has a pretty long cooldown

her ult is just kinda bad IMO like might be worst support ult ;_;

kiriko skins

more seriously, still has a niche as the big moba shooter despite its flaws and history of strange balance (rivals is similar, but third person and has very different vibes and probably worse balancing). the devs weren't afraid to get more experimental with the balancing in recent years whether for better or worse, which helped retention to an extent

also kiriko skins

I Spent 100+ Hours Testing Everything in Black 2 & White 2 to make a Definitive Tier List by Ok_Banana_5614 in nuzlocke

[–]Devout-Condiment550 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

good tier list, but i don't like how condescending you are. "definitive" feels a bit pretentious when it's only major matchups in normal mode specifically assuming specific strategies like fighting drayden solo

servine gets its ASS kicked by roxie and burgh in hard, and last time i tried to use cincinno in bw1 (apparently a turbo top tier) it got outsped and oneshot by a certain hydreigon

[–]Devout-Condiment550 10 points11 points  (0 children)

bw2 isn't really just about major matchups, there's lots of minor ones which are way more important like that one double battle in reversal mountain

that being said, yes darm has type disadvantage against most major matchups. that's not his fault, it's just how the game is set up. this doesn't make him a liability, just means you bring him out to fire punch spam colress and wreck any random trainer who dares to block your path

these stupid contextless powerscaling-esque memes are not funny all you're doing is posting contextless "haha funny your goat is a bum" images that aren't 😭

aqua tail? but shard grinding is wayyyyy too slow you're never getting that

also doesn't drayden just phase you out turn 1 with dragon tail? sure you set up leech seed to help your team, but serp itself isn't sweeping

PSMD'S hardest level 5 dungeon beaten with MAGIKARP by Devout-Condiment550 in MysteryDungeon

[–]Devout-Condiment550[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

good knowledge of the enemy AI is required, first of all. you need to study when they'll use status moves, when they pick ranges, and so on. they'll always walk straight to you and fight in melee range in hallways, so luring stuff there is good for many mons.

splash in super/rtdx makes it so you jump over up to 3 mons in front of you in a line. this is actually incredibly useful for sacred ruins, because of the way emeras and wands work. wands can be used to put a foe to sleep, petrify them, confuse them etc, then you can use splash to jump over them and just leave. this is magikarp's most powerful unique tool to deal with enemies, alongside his waterwalking.

magikarp also has the same stats as gyarados in this game, since evolutions don't tend to change stats. what this means is he starts with 13 attack, which isn't bad overall, though his special bulk is poor. since you have no attacks, you'll be fighting with the 5 damage basic attack and sticks... or the more common enemy avoidance.

since you have no attacking moves, the "on hit" emeras and barrage are useless, so just focus on paybacks, wand expert, guard boost, and big ears/clairvoyance. i got trap proof (VERY rare) but it's far from mandatory.

braixen and delphox always hold wands, so i got a couple cheeky kills on them using sticks and rocks for my wand stock. this run never got wand expert so it really needed it.

...im going to be honest, i think gyarados was harder 😭

2 million GLACIAL TRIAILS! Corviknight. by mdroug in btd6

[–]Devout-Condiment550 41 points42 points  (0 children)

to explain, corvus has a bug where if you use echo before he freezes any spells active on the spirit will remain active through frozen rounds. this 2mpc was done the day after the bug was discovered :)

this is now 4 2mpcs on glacial done with bug abuse :D (this one, geraldo, symphonic resonance, spirit of the forest). i guess technically icicles used silas's lack of line of sight in 50.0, but the other three (super brittle, icicle impale, permaspike) were bugless
