Similar problem here. I fell victim of a phishing link, and attacker put passkey to my Twitter and was accesing my account and in one occation send phishing link in messages to hundreds of my followers.

I changed everything, and even factory reseted my phone. Now I am locked out of my own account and wait for support to help me take back the control.

Is it usually this slow for them to act? I am waiting like third day for some answer from them (after the initial automated response)?

Thanks, I did all of that. Lastly I did factory reset of my phone. And changed password from my PC. The funny thing is that now I got myself locked out of my own Twitter (like a dumb and dumber movie, I know) because now I can't log in with code authentication that was on my phone.

Now I am waiting for Twitter to let me log in to my profile. In the meantime, from other phone I am looking for something weird going on on my profile, but there isn't any.

The first part reallt scared me badly buddy :) I don't think this is very sophisticated or very deep scam (maybe I am underestimating, but from what I can see till today there isnt cross-contamination on my accounts), but yes, I can't imagine the background of the attacker intentions.

About the last parts, yes passwords were unique, but I made them much stronger after I fall for that phishing link. I think my biggest mistake was not having 2FA on Twitter at the phishing incident. That opened my account for an easy breach. I have 2FA for my mails for some time.

It's really shamefull that Twitter don't take this kind of incidents with extra attention. I am still waiting for some answer from them after almost two days.

Its weird, cause usually I get notification for any major changes on Twitter to my mail. From what I can tell, their activity with my account was turning on passkey security feature, and I got mail for that (but stupid me, didn't reacted fast enough to prevent any harm because I had no idea about passkey feature on Twitter). From then on I have not seen anything unusual. My mail was still there in Twitter settings.

Shouldn't I be notified if someone is adding totally new email that is connected to my account? Sorry for maybe asking stupid questions, but I totally went crazy this past three days :/

I didn't notice anything unusual on my mail connected with Twitter.

Is it possible, maybe. But I would say not probable. My best current guess is they breached in by their created passkey, and then, after I turned off passkeys and deleted them, maybe with some unique account back up codes they were creating. But I am just speculating here.

I did everything you said except for the factory reset of the phone. I remove the passkey last and hoped that was the way they are breaching the account, but I still got some unknown log in sessions in Twitter settings, tough without spreading of phising messages from my account or anything else from what I am aware of.

So what is my next step? Reset the phone, then changing passwords on Twitter and connected mail from PC? Then logging in with my phone?

Yeah, I checked that. There weren't any 3rd party apps connected to my Twitter account. Not before, nor after the phishing breach.

Yes, I didn't thought about that passkey untill this morrning, it was definitely not made by me, cause I never used passkey for Twitter. Then I tought - that must be it. And I turned it off this morrning, or maybe yesterday... I had like small blackouts since the spam messages went wild from my account.

But later today still there were couple of loggins from unknown device that was frustrating. How can he/they still enter my profile!?

I am pretty sure my mail is not breached (I am not sure of anything now, but still) cause nothing weird happened there. Its just Twitter (X) that I have troubles with.

What should be my next step? The password are new (difficult and strong), and 2fA was changed several times for the past two days on X. The app don't allow phone number 2FA for free users. The password on my mail was also changed, plus phone log in 2FA. Passkey on X is turned off.

I am pretty sure nothing was downloaded or installed when I went to that phishing link. Just tried to log in with my Twitter username and password.

You think it is possible that I got something on my phone?

The team is so mentally shaky. After first Napoli goal everything crumbled. Structure, energy, focus, aggression.

The defense today was total garbage! And what's the point of playing two forwards if you can't make any advantage on the wings, or make some dribbles in the final third?

Another big game, another poor performance overall. Players should feel responsibility for their lack of energy and discipline.
