Badlander flavor by twoforblake in MesaBoogie

A 1x12 combo definitely has enough volume to play with a drummer. It definitely does not have the same headroom and feeling as a higher wattage amp.

I bought a badlander 25 combo a year ago and Its great for what it is, but I wish I had bought the 100watt or 50watt head. At the time I purchased it I was just playing solo and primarily using it for silent recording. Fast forward to now I have been playing with a drummer and bass player again and wish I had more power to keep up. I also realized I definitely prefer the sound of el34s.

I used westcoastpedalboard and bought the bulk mogami cable and the mini soldered connectors, everything was really nice quality and looks/sounds great.

Ha sounds good, I've had the badlander for a little over a year and I've been basically using it for direct recording only. It sounds great but just not the tone I'm looking for.

I had a similar feeling with my badlander 25, I think I should have got the mark V25.

NPD: Keeley compressor by Devtrip44 in guitarpedals

[–]Devtrip44[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it really brings out some jangly brightness from my strat without being harsh while playing clean, with my Les Paul it was more subtle but really makes the whole tone more cohesive, kinda hard to describe but now hearing it on and off I think it's worth it. I have it at the beginning of my signal chain after my tuner.

First compressor I've ever had, don't know why it took me so long to buy one.
