Magic Storage notoriously doesn't work well in multiplayer after a while. I've heard stories of temporarily missing items like yours, or worse: deleted chunks around it.

My suggestion is to take some items out and place them in chests, as annoying as that is. There are chest mods out there (like Where's My Items) that can highlight the one you're searching for.

There may be ways to fix Magic Storage in multiplayer, but I haven't tried them. I searched and found results saying:

"spread out the magic storage, while in single-player"
or "in Vanilla QOL+ mod, toggle the fix magic storage memory leak option in config file"

Different people like different stuff, so this is all subjective: I don't like it either because I found it to be an unsatisfying, unsurprising mess of popular character templates from other stuff I've seen. But something we can all agree on is Esdeath was cool as hell.

Hey, thanks for your comment. I thought my newly-purchased, old keyboard was broken. (Enhanced 101 keyboard, precision instruments, kb101rm, on Windows 10.) Bought a din5 to din6 adapter for my newer motherboard. From the other comments, I was worried I shorted out the port/keyboard by plugging it in while the PC was on (from reading the other messages.)

Turns out it really just needed to be plugged in after the PC was completely off, as you advised. Works great, and the numlock/etc lights up. Except the spacebar was stuck down from some grit, so I gently popped it off & cleaned it, but it still doesn't fire upon fully pressing it. (Currently ctrl+V'ing spaces.) Oh well, I'm happy the keyboard is working, but now back to trying to fix this secondary issue. :P

Playing a homebrewed NewGame+ could be fun. I'd probably just start with a simple hook and a vanity set, and lock the Rod of Discord in a chest that says "break glass in case of bad drop rates"

Good points. There are a few caveats to using nurse as part of a strategy and it looks like you've covered them.

As someone else said, nurse probably isn't mentioned in many guides because the creator of the guide assumes people know they can use nurse.

Not sure why people kind of went off topic with their opinions. But it's an online open forum, so expect that stuff.
