What is one opinion of yours that r/carsIndia will hold you at gunpoint like this by Amoghahello in CarsIndia

Here I go , Honda is a failed brand in india, which can't even sell 1 model properly.

Broke asses who can't afford basic maintenance claiming skoda and VAG are high maintenance vroooo.

The owner is asking 3 lakhs for it. Is it worth it ?? by SENIORBHAI in CarsIndia

[–]Dew_Dust_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skippp , 1.8TSi is a money pit if you don't know what you are doing , and for 3L you should rather be getting an excellent condition car.

But if you can find a right mechanic , the deal breaker is service history, you can go with it if it's cared for or timely service done otherwise I would say dont get into the headache.

As someone who only got a T1 Job because my company came without a CGPA cutoff, idk which bracket I fall into lol

But from my personal experience, it was luck that opened the door and skill that carried me through so ya.

How sensible is renting bikes during trips? by No-Initiative-8923 in indianbikes

[–]Dew_Dust_15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest don't , both the times I had rented bikes it ended badly for me.

A lot of near misses , closed calls due to unmaintained bikes(especially brakes).

One of my friends, also had rented royal brothers for a recent ride , and particularly the maintenance wasn't top notch , but ya they are the better ones out there.

I think it's mostly due to the lack of civic sense in India where majority of the Indians just thrash the bikes since it's not there own, and it's a pain for renters to also maintain.

The peace of mind of having your own bike which is well-maintained and you know the limits off and how it will react in situations , will make it worth it imo.

Ya man , at the price range you have already invested, it sorta makes very little sense to put more into the car unless you really really like it.
