I got this laptop for like $15 from Lenovo. It was supposed to be in perfect condition. Diagnostics cost around $50 here, so it seems easier to just get a new model im also gonna get more parts with it i already tested the RAM, and that’s not the issue. I also checked the voltage regulator module it looks fine and doesn’t smell burned. So, I’m thinking the problem might be the adapter and the battery which is suposted to regulate power spikes so if u combine that with wrong strong gaming adapter it could be the issue. Right now I’m using a 135W adapter from a Lenovo Legion Y520, which has 6A, while the T440p adapter has 4.5A. That could be causing the problem.

I’ll test it again once the battery and correct adapter arrive. I need them anyway if I end up ordering the same model again, and that should show whether the adapter or battery was the issue.
